Yet, for remote charging, we are.
Actually I have a correction, just brought up my bill:
PGE is Peak .35, Off peak .33…silly me, they’re already raising rates gradually to get their 20% loss recovered.
Almost there! $5.50 right down the street.
Perfect… you can stop every 20 miles to spend 15 minutes to pay an extra $.50 each time.
27 miles, and I could eat lunch or vac/detail the Jeep in that 20 minutes, and have a full battery for my efforts.
L2 would have me eat lunch, wash/detail/vac, change oil and rotate tires and still be waiting on the last blue light.
correct me if im wrong on this but don’t the euro 4xe owners report of longer distance charges? i could have sworn i stumbled on a real life report on one of the forums somewhere but its entirely possible i’m mixing it up in my head with some other EV i was researching.
There was a European market press release that came out a few months back talking about the 4xe being rated at 30 miles range and a bunch of people decided that meant that it was getting some new, bigger battery. The specs came out, and it’s the exact same set up. The only thing that changed was the euro market jeeps were rated using the wltp testing vs the US market ones getting the epa testing. That nuance got lost on most people that didn’t look into it any further.
It’s the same reason most evs are rated much higher mileage in Europe.
I came here for pricing updates. Will come back next week.
Does anyone know if the GC stop sale applies to the gc 4xe as well?
I would argue that it depends… If you use the car for commutes for the most part and the commute is ~<10 mi each way, 90+% of your use is going to be pure electric. For me that’s different than hybrid where most of the range is on gas.
But that’s only one piece of the puzzle. That’s within a range where home charging is beneficial. If you had a 50 mile drive, you wouldn’t treat it like an ev and stop to charge everytime the battery was depleted, at a cost higher than just using gas.
You have a use case that falls within what a phev is good at.
Is anyone further than D? I only saw 1 person claim they were in paint, but this is the internet so who knows if they ordered a regular GC or a Wrangler 4xE.
ah gotcha. well thanks for the clarification.
Yes, 100% agree, although I believe that a lot of people would fall under that use case. Not the majority though. I just checked and the average miles driven per driver per day is 39 mi.
Any scoops on Grand Cherokee 4xe lease deals?
Lease programs still haven’t been released. Maybe they will tomorrow.
Were the GC 4xe RVs released with March numbers?
No March lease programs for the gc 4xe.
Does anyone have the numbers for the regular GC for this month? Thanks.
