Don’t pass up looking at the highlander, hybrid does 30+ mpg. Mine gets here next week thanks to @Jrouleau426
STFU. My VW Golf Sportwagen is named Gretel. Like, even the BT has been renamed “VW Gretel” in my car.
Hope you enjoy the car!
I think some actually aren’t ventilated at all. I think “cooled” seats just have a cooling element and are, IMHO, useless. You get the whole wet and cold thing going on w/ no evaporation.
Ventilated seats actually have an exhaust vent of sorts (MB’s have this) and don’t necessarily blow cold air inside the seat. So you’ll see complaints on MB forums about how the ventilated seats “suck.” I think it’s b/c the posters don’t understand the concept that evaporation itself leads to some level of cooling.
Having said all that, I’ve only sat on cooled seats and never on a ventilated seat, so I can’t say if, in practice, properly ventilated seats actually work well.
Congrats. I just pulled the trigger on a the same trim, pyrite silver. My only complaint is the 20 inch wheels compromises the smooth ride a bit but they are gorgeous. The great backseat room, massive trunk (hatchback is awesome), wireless android auto/apple car play and ventilated seats (I live inland Northern California with very hot summers). I needed a large hatch like trunk and wanted a car, not an SUV. Considered V60, A4 Allroad but the Arteon really checked all the boxes. Great balance of comfort, size, power and tech.
I’m in the Bay Area and looking to close a deal on an Arteon by this weekend. Any dealers you recommend that were easier to work with? And if you don’t mind, how was your deal compared to the Original Post? what color did you get?
Only one other person mentioned it and it did not get any traction. What all is included in $3,199 dealer fees/doc/DL? That is an insane line item and is a huge red flag to me. That line item amounts for near $100/month of your payment alone!
I shopped around a bit. Not an apples to apples comparison but I’m at $550/month for 39/10. I checked Vacaville, Elk Grove, Tracy, Stevens Creek and Capitol. You can probably get the best deal at Tracy or Capitol. I ended up with the Pyrite Silver. There were also a couple locations in SoCal that will probably beat this deal. Specifically the Glendale VW.
I forgot Walnut Creek, they also had a good deal.
That was originally an estimation on my end, since I had not walked into the dealership and received a line item breakdown. Here is the exact breakdown at the end of the final transaction
For comparison’s sake, I was able to get a price of $565 a month if I did 39/12. 0 DAS, 1st month paid by VW. I ended up just going with the 36 months as previously described here
Walnut Creek took care of me. It was there only 2021 SEL RLINE Premium and I got $499 with 1k drive off! 39/10k no one within 75 of miles wanted to come close. Really wanted the Urano Gray but the Metallic Black Pearl is nice in person.
Congratulations, great deal! You might need the California black license plate to match those wheels and the paint job.
OP, congrats, i always want this car. Believe it or not, I have a 992 C4S, but still want this…maybe it is because I had a 2010 CC as my first ever brand new car. Hopefully, you will update this post with your long term relationship with this car. Enjoy the car.
These arteon payments get you into mid luxury bmw/Mercedes/audi cars. I could never drive a VW at those price points.
$600 a month for a VW
Too amusing.
Not with the tech and comfort packages provided by this specific trim, and certainly not with no cash down whatsoever.
60k A6
Sign and drive $600 a month
Audi A6 45 or arteon??? Hmmm
That msrp does not include the packages lol. It’s also not a hatchback.
Like I said before, I did all the comparisons. Nothing came close. Feel free to continue making uninformed comments.
I think this is the main takeaway. It’s one thing when some spends “a lot” of $ on a car w/o doing research. IMHO, it seems like you did your research, this is the car you wanted, and I hope it works out well for you.
