It does…
Really? Every dealer I’ve talked to says employee pricing for everyone only applies to purhases.
Hmmmmm…I think what some dealers may be doing, perhaps mine included, is telling me they are using employee pricing but in the end they aren’t.
Mine made a huge point of telling me half a dozen times about how they were giving me employee pricing on the car and then also being able to use my GM supplier code. They were probably just giving a huge discount on the car, and calling it “employee pricing”, LOL. On paper mine is over an 11% discount prior to incentives, but the dealer fees are very high so it brings the effective discount back down in line with pretty much what everyone else is seeing.
My numbers were funky too but I didn’t ask questions since the DAS/monthly got to where I wanted.
No, it doesn’t. Employee Pricing is for purchases only.
So I’m not sure what is taught or not, to sales rep at Chevy/GMC but I have been told by several dealers lease pricing was based on employee pricing for all. Some say it emphatically others say no we’re just using current incentives. Much like CDJR I never actually know what is being used but I never argue with the numbers if In my favor.
They’re lying (kinda). They could be matching employee price listed on the invoice but there’s no program for it so they aren’t getting any reimbursement from GM like they do on purchases.
If there was employee pricing on leases all my Bolt onepays would be $2,300
Exact same experience on my end…but again…good result so its academic. It is nice to know the real deal though🤔

Makes sense I’m chasing a GMC truck for the old man…and it’s hilarious when I say you factoring employee pricing? And they say that doesn’t count. Move to next dealer and there much more competitive and say we used employee for all haha
When I did my 2017 bolt one pay using GMS or GM Family First pricing, the price was higher than the normal one pay price. The dealer told me they can’t go below GMS price. I paid like $9600ish and then when the dealer got reimbursed by GM, they cut me a check back for $3600-$3700.
I think I saved about $1200-1400 vs the normal pricing but didn’t stack with Costco $700 so net saved about $700.
Their is lease cash for the Bolt which is higher than cash rebate. So that offsets a little.
So here is the end result…I was offered 1,500 in incentives and yes the 3,500 for employee discount…however only 3% off MSRP pre-incentives and that’s where I walked away lol
What was the end result as far as DAS and payment? If the dealer fees were really low, the smaller discount may not be as bad as it seems.
Anyone know on these damn cars if it’s possible to see your outside temperature on the dashboard? When I have CarPlay up I can’t see the outside temp and it’s bugging me lol…
I just had the same experience yesterday on the drive back after picking mine up. I got the “ice possible” warning but couldn’t tell what the temperature was!
Ahhh, GM… Never change.
Hence the under 400 cost…it’s amazing it even has CarPlay
