2020 BMW X7 Lease TX

,

@leasealot it’s a gazillion due to trolls like me. Lol. Bimmer for me is lease the new ones and enjoy it. I always enjoy driving a bimmer. 12 years in a row I have a bimmer in my garage. From 3-7. No SUV yet, maybe the X7 next year.

I didn’t do anything special, I read the posts on this website. Test drove the car then did all the negotiations through text. I knew what discount I wanted, I wasn’t picky about the options. The sales associate said that there’s one that they’re willing to negotiate on because it’s not “in demand” (mineral white, beige leather, parking assist, tow hitch, gesture control, cold weather package…). We texted back and forth for 3 days. Then stopped he wasn’t giving me the discount I wanted. A few days later he texted saying that they’ll give me the price. I was willing to walk away because I wasn’t set on really set on it.
This website gave me all the info and knowledge I needed to get this deal.

Best way to negotiate is you have time to negotiate especially for unhackable vehicle. Seems like the OP has time to negotiate. Give it a shot at other dealership like Houston and Dallas too. If it’s worth the hassle, do it @Patdoughe. Maybe they have the captain chair there you’re looking for. Or even go out of state. You’re going to spend a lot of money, why not get all your checklist covered.

Maybe @Samson Can Help See how he could do better from a BMW specialist? Or Give his insight if were wrong?

@leasealot I have ordered the vehicle. Should be here in a month :hugs:

@dotmike24 couldn’t agree more with your post about buying an accord (my current vehicle is actually a 2018 Acura TLX which I purchased) and leasing luxury.

If you prefer keeping a car longer than 5 years and drives 12-15k a year. Always pick a car that’s cheaper to maintain. Replacing tires every 20k miles for $1-1.5k per set, breaking after the warranty expires and worrying that it might break is too much to think. I rather spend a little more for my own peace of mind. I’m not a fan of the extended warranty, especially they usually put a limit of what they cover. Better get a CPO if you still intend to buy.

yeah, TLX is definitely a buy for me. Very reliable, cheap to maintain and kinda feel luxurious. AKA not accord badge. TBF, the new accord has an amazing interior. but the badge still say Honda. I will buy it on a heartbeat if that’s my market. They lease so horrible. I’ve beens seing peeps here posting an accord for $400 and up.

that literally mirrors an x7 lmao, gotta love bmw fan boys…

You go from dissing people by saying they can’t afford the x7 to now dissing the x7 and the OP?

who’s dissing op? it’s like some of you guys are too dense to have a back and forth discussion in real life lmao, he calls the aviator a glorified explorer yet the front end mirrors an x7 and the way it stands sits like an x7, clearly he’s a bmw enthuasist and there’s nothing wrong with that(it’s a joke), if you read my initial post I offered my opinion and didnt rip into him like so many of you guys did, now this has turned into a discussion about the car itself, if you also read my other posts you will see I have nothing bad to say against the x7 it’s just more of a crossover to me (yes I drove a friend’s and yes I have sat in the 3rd row and it’s not very comfortable,) I speak from experience…

I’m sure OP likes being called a BMW fanboy just because he likes this X7 and not the Navigator that you think he should get instead.

guess some of us can’t take jokes now can we, you must have been real fun in school. I said my opinion was there was a better suv out there for $1300 and the rest of the car world seems inclined to think so too, the navigator sits atop the majority of luxury full size suv reviews/ratings.

Now with that being said you must not have read a lot of my posts and skimmed over it because you would see I said the x7 rides and handles like a car unlike the typical suv handling of the navigator, I also said there was no groundbreaking tech in the navigator while the germans are always adding new stuff into their models, I also implied but didnt clearly state that the x7 is definitely curvier and can be viewed as more attractive to the eye if you like crossover/cuv/sedan lines versus the boxy old school lines of the navigator, as far as practicality it’s not even a contest but I will say in large metro areas with tight parking the x7 wins everytime, the navigator is just too large. Different folks different strokes but I posted pros and cons of both vehicles instead of calling the x7 a glorified x3 with larger proportions.

We should ask the OP why X7 instead of opinion about his decision. If I were to decide today, X7 makes more sense coz they dont have the 2020 GLS competition. If I’m not in a hurry and I’m a BMW fanboy, I’ll wait for the 2020 GLS to roll at any dealership and wait for the X7 discounts and incentives starts to climb. Assuming they’re not collaborating of price gauging. I’m a BMW fanboy coz i feel I get great deals on their vehicle compare to others. TBF, MB has better interior than BMW but I pick BMW anyday coz it’s way cheaper than the comparable MB and the cool factor is a big plus.

If nothing else (and has some have stated, my post apparently was not useful for anyone) at least it’s entertaining! I don’t mind being a fanboy. BMW makes a nice vehicle. Could be worse, at least I’m not a Kia fanboy. As I’ve said I was initially going with a Range Rover sport until I saw the X7. Although the Range Rover is beautiful, it only really wins in exterior looks and off-road capabilities on my opinion. And although there may be some out there that buy a brand new Range Rover to go off roasting with, am not someone that has that luxury.

@anon11379241 don’t get me wrong, Navigator is super amazing if you’re the passenger and sits in the back. When that day comes, I’ll be on navigator. If I’m the driver, X7 all day. GLS, I like the overall value of it but they’ll be more expensive than X7. I believe, I’ll save $200 on a comparable GLS, so I will still pick X7. plus im a fan boy. lol When the day GLS is cheaper than X7 or same price point, that’s the day I will lease a GLS.

I like mb over bmw but bmw just makes it too easy to lease, definitely an easy decision when similar cars are hundreds of dollars apart.

@dotmike24 I am only in somewhat of a hurry because I have a baby on the way and both should be arriving around the same time. Need the bigger car for bigger family.

gls rides more like a traditional suv or at least last gen did when I had one for a few days, I’m curious to see what the new gen brings out.

RR sports is no X7. @Patdoughe you pick the better one between the 2. RR sports are for anyone that is 20-33 years old. Once your age past 35 years old, Full RR is the choice.
