2020 BMW X5 M50i. First Post. What do you guys think?

,

Just don’t put and money down.

That is kept secret from sales people (sometimes managers too) and even if I did know I couldn’t talk about what isn’t public knowledge (you can find invoice prices on almost any car website). But you can assume if there are volume dealers willing to do 10% to 12% off, assume there is enough “hidden” money to cover some of that costs. Real estate and fees are just part of doing business and get made up on other deals and in the FI office/service. For example, there is a flat $400 charge on the profit for every car that covers overhead costs.

I ordered one in October and was able to get 10% (Pre-Incentives) off although in Socal that wasnt easy to come by. With that being said the car is awesome and you’re really going to enjoy in.

Negotiate before ordering next time. Try to push for 10% off. With that horrid dealer fee your deal would be around 9.4%off but I doubt the dealer would give you more than $1000 discount on your agreed deal.

Was about to say the exact same thing. Big difference between an x5 m50i and a 330i lol.

@legendsauto - There is another broker on this forum offering 12% off 2020 X5 M5.0s… So, I’d say it’s possible. The problem for @norsk102 is that he already ordered the vehicle and now wants to renegotiate. I think he can get better than 4% before incentives, which is almost laughable for a BMW these days.

BTW, I’m sure if I walked into my BMW dealer (where I have bought 10+ vehicles), I could get 10-12% off a X5 M5.0. This isn’t the X5 M we are talking about… Its a 5.0 w/ the M look.

Crazy number at 57 % you getting very small break. My X5M50 I was offered 12 % off plus $2750 rebate . Your payment should be way under1k
What state are you in?

100 % agree

Absolutely wrong.
Already got 11 off. posted print out , check my posts, plus guy said I can probably do 12% wait till March since you have time

You forgot to mention the sales person is your friend (I’m not kidding, he is)

You should transfer your 50i deal to OP since it’s such a hot ticket. January is a bad month to be shopping a hot deal.

Pretty sure having a friend that works at a dealer is a disadvantage in most cases.

@Electric is so right! My buddy at Mercedes gave a shitty deal. I realized it by reviewing this site and felt awful cancelling but I did. Threw him 50 bucks to save the friendship but highly recommend you do your hw beefier thinking your friend will hook you up

I personally wouldn’t feel awful about cancelling on a bad deal. Instead I would be pissed my so called friend did something so shady. I don’t expect my friends to break even or lose money selling me something but I expect honesty at least.

you should be able to do 12-13% off in this economy. I just got 13% off on a factory order in NOV. Also, instead of putting $ down, put it towards MSD and lower your .00128 to a .00093.

November =/= January.

Not sure how many times it’s going to have to be said before this factor is understood.

Insane price! I would get an Audi Q7 3.0T for 700/mo, and get an APR Plus tune on it. Would be pushing 420-430hp, and keeping a warranty.

In some states, sales tax is on the payment, so if you roll the acquisition/doc/title fees in, you pay sales tax on all of it. Paying all of those non-taxable fees up front effectively gives you a 6-10% discount on those fees depending on your sales tax rate. That can be a good discount in exchange for carrying a small amount of additional risk.
