My fiance is itching for a new car and has her eyes set on a Lexus NX300H.
Haven’t seen much talk on here about this particular vehicle so I figure I would post my findings and, as always, am open to any advice or recommendations.
We are based out of Dallas and, after calling around, all of the local dealerships seem to have quite a few of these in stock. MSRP varies depending on options but tends to be between 42k to 46k.
Edmunds is showing MF of .0007 and 57% residual for 36 month/15k. Truecar is showing that people are getting 4k off of MSRP (not sure how accurate that is). There is either 1000 or 1500 in lease cash available right now (not sure what the difference between lease cash and Lexus cash is).
I believe Lexus also allows up to 9 MSDs?
Playing with the numbers, if we can get 4k off plus 1.5k in lease cash along with 9 MSDs, monthly payments should be in the high 300s + TTL. Also, there is the whole 6.25% sales tax on the total value of the car here in Texas so it would be nice to find some tax credits.
Anywho, we are going to start reaching out to dealerships soon so I will post updates here.
Lexus NXs are in annoyingly very high demand, very hard to get a good deal in the Pacific NW. Dealers asking ridiculous prices even for used 2015 models. I’m waiting to jump on a NXh model, but still waiting.
Regional offer on NX hybrid:
$369/month 36 months $3,999 due at signing. 10K miles.
Probably additional cost for accessories package. Not sure about RV.
NX model:
$339 / 36 months / $3,999
Assuming base model. Available at Seattle/Bellevue/Portland, OR
Apparently residual for 15k/36 month dropped to 56% this month.
Also, they have Texas tax credits this month so taxes are only $375.
With $1,000 down payment, they are offering $528.67 per month.
Obviously this is awful. They stated that payment could drop $10/month with “excellent” credit (which she has).
But even then, these numbers are way higher than what I am getting with the lease calculator. Playing around with it, I am getting something closer to low to mid 400s.
I’m making the assumption that the $1,000 down payment would pay for the taxes (in this case, only $375 which is an equivalent tax rate of .975%) and the license and registration fees ($350). This would mean that the remainder ($1,000 - $375 - $350 = $275) would be paid towards the principle. I am also assuming that the $795 lease acquisition fee is rolled into the monthly payment. In addition, I am assuming that this doesn’t include first month’s payment.
I am also assuming that they will agree to the base money factor. Right now, they aren’t giving us numbers based off of the lowest money factor. But my fiance has excellent credit and I told her that if they don’t agree to the base money factor (which I believe is .0007 this month) that she should walk.
Obviously, if any of my assumptions are incorrect then the numbers will change. I am trying to get clarification on these points.
This is showing around $1,450 total payment due at signing ($1,000 down payment plus first month’s payment) and a monthly of around $450. Obviously, this is quite a bit lower than their proposed $528.67 per month.
Thanks @Invictuz ! Been there 3 times already, Tommy still charging for LoJack, Pulse and mats. I reached out to some brokers on this Forum. If NX does not work out (prob. buy from Seattle (Lynnwood) or Fife), I may get a XC60. Good luck to you too. Appreciate your comment.
Bellevue Lexus:
For NX 300H with sunroof, no nav:
$43,283 MSRP
$40,917 sale price (included -$1,500 lexus cash)
+$1,873 for LoJack, mats, etc.
=$42,790
MF: .00085 (I guess negotiable)
NXs are designed specifically for women. The driver’s seat nicely hugs and creates a relaxing & cozy environment. There are mutiple mirrors including the one between the seats. Styling is pretty and size is just right. 2018 and newers models have all kinds of sensors to keep you in your lane. You sit up higher and can drive in the snow. I always hated the look of RAV4s but like the NXs. I know… u guys are rolling your eyes now.
