What state was dealer?
California. I will post more as I get it structured out.
I’m puzzled by Infinity. They are in Trim nowhere land or bizarro world.
There are 3 AWD models, as advertised: Pure, Luxe, Essential.
The Pure is basically equipped but with almost no options and zero packages. That is $39.5K
The Luxe is better equipped and at least gets you accessory options, but no packages. That is $42.5K
The Essential is the same vehicle, but you get packages, packages packages. Breathe on 1 and it is $49.5K (Add anything that would come standard or more reasonably priced on any other luxury brand and it is 52k-59K).
So here is the real gripe: There are ZERO Luxe’s available. you either pay 40K and wonder why nothing is equipped in the car or you pay 50K and still wonder why there is not more. But there is NO in between.
I have spoken to a couple dealers. Many have already complained: there is a massive 10K plus gap between the 2 models with the absence of the Luxe as an immediately available trim. When called, Corporate was dumb or playing coy and had no idea when the Luxe would be available.
Big Whiff Infinity. Shame, it moves very well and the efficiency on the new motor seems to have been a good idea.
I saw some incoming Essential ones that were 45k (pretty much a base essential). 45k is realistically the cheapest one can go to get basic items such as navi.
Edmunds forms showing that there is now a $500 conquest cash on the lease valid for the last week of april. Interesting that they are offering incentives already, didn’t even wait till May.
I got an email from one of the dealers I had reached out to about this. They were going to need more than that based on their first numbers. lmao.
Any deals to be had? Drove one today and liked it but dealer is basically crazy wanting $479/mo + $4K down. Told me flat out to go back to BMW to rip me off if I don’t like their “outstanding” prices.
I know it’s a new model. Anyone able to work a good deal on one?
@wheelz stop posting the same question in multiple places
Last month when they had no incentives I had two dealers already offer 6k off. Had a payment of 415 with tax with $1k drive off and max msds on a 47k model.
I think deals are available but need to contact numerous dealers.
I have been trying since yesterday to get a deal on a $54K MSRP model. A SoCal dealer gave me $6K off the MSRP. Wanted $1K drive off. Max MSDs for a $481 a month tax included. So I will wait for any rebates and incentives and maybe Labor Day.
They also given me $5.5K discount on a $49K MSRP QX50 with same terms as the previous model for a $418 a month tax included.
For a car in its second full month those are pretty good discounts I think. Also makes you wonder how much does Infinti pay the dealers on the backend if they can offer such discounts.
I have been watching inventory on 3 different dealers and since I started two of the three dealers inventories have grown substantially. The third ones has decreased by 5 or so. So I am guessing it isn’t selling as well as Infiniti hoped.
