2019 Hyundai Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid Base. As/of 01/08/2020

does not matter how it drives for $99/m
LOL

There’s insurance, parking and other costs associated too. But yes for $99/month you can’t complain much. Its almost what cost me to fill my tank

Okay so a local dealer said he’ll be able to get it for me. Here were his numbers

3800 + $200/month . $200/month include tax and all other fees. $3800 was for the upgraded version and for base it was $2500. There was also a delivery charge of $900 because he was getting it from a different state. I did ask him multiple times about a break down on the fees & he said it’ll be the finance department who’ll give the #s but he needs confirmation of the order before he can run those. I wasn’t happy because now the effective cost of ownership is $10600-$3649(Rebates) = 6951 which comes to $194/month which makes it less attractive. I didn’t took the bite since i can pay a bit more and get a better car for $300ish I think . If some one in Nor Cal is interested, I can pass the dealer contacts if you want to negotiate . I could possibly have negotiated on point to point basis but seems I had little leverage

I noticed a lot of dealers are no longer honoring national ads. They are selling above sticker. One quoted me 5k above MSRP on a base.

if only we knew for sure when rebate ends and see their faces when that happens and they get stuck with this otherwise unwanted car:) It gained popularity only because how cheap it got thanks to the rebate.
Now they crank it up back to $400 like pre-rebate days and keep them on lots for another year.
But I must resist such emotions

I Mentioned that. I got a deposit on one that should be coming any day. we agreed on a price for now . I hope they try to pull a bait and switch so I can take my deposit back, the incentives end and they got stuck with the 25 or so they ordered.

And to think I had people whining about 10 bucks a month difference haha.

I’m a newbie. Can someone explain how they are getting $50 or $99? That’s not the listed monthly payment price right? Like the state rebates and the $7500 ev credit isn’t baked into it? Will my monthly be $250 and then is considered $99 after credits?

Did you have a chance to read the original post and check out sample deal where people posted their contracts in full?

State rebate is part of a deal to get to that number. Fed EV credit goes to Hyundai and passed on to you as a part of their rebate.

I did read the posts but I got confused because people were just listing the state rebates. But that makes sense now. We get the state and they get the federal.

It really depends what state you are referring to as some have the rebate as a point of sale some have it as post sale.

I forgot to reply but I did end up snagging an Ioniq Electric Limited in NY for 174 a month not including the 500 dollar bonus drive rebate making it just about 160 a month. Only thing due at signing was 60 dollar DMV fee and first month payment. Had it just over a week now and have had no issues.

Btw, when does this month end? 10/31? This weekend is going to be new month and incentives?

Let me guess Atlantic. HYUNDAI LOL

Lol so true! I ended up getting a base yesterday in NY for $115/Mon with $0 due, 12K/Yr (I think dealer covered first month payment and I have 35 left but couldn’t get an answer from them).

But anyways, I found out the dealer baked in $900 worth of protection coverages and when I called them out on it they kept saying it was actually free because they had a “coupon” to apply which I’m pretty sure is BS, but I just let it slide since I was mostly just glad they didn’t pull a bait and switch when I came in to sign… haha

Got mine last night 126 a month. First month due at signing. 36/12. GM had given me that price earlier in the month before they had any cars in stock. they called me that my car was in. Salesmen tried ringing me up at 225 a month (apparently that’s what the last 10 or so where going for). Finally got a hold of the GM and reminded him what we agreed on. He told me they really were getting 4 to 5k over sticker but since we agreed to that price already and I’m a good customer he honored it. Almost hacked a G70 3.3t for 440 sign and drive because they needed one more genesis deal . but one of there employees ended up taking a beautiful black forest green G70 design edition.

And that’s how the deal went from Leasehark worth to slickdeals worth because $220 on their site is better than $400. Let’s see what new months brings.

Gongrats on the deal!

they pulled up the national ad off Hyundai’s website. $79 a month with 999 down + taxes, fees, DMV. He told me that would come out to around 3700. which is effectively 181 a month. So according to him i got better than the national ad. But who really knows with these people.

What he didn’t tell you is that the nat ad is somewhere in the middle…some regions have better regional deals some worst.

Incentives look like they went up a little bit? Not sure about the RV and MF though. Inventory remains pretty low in the northeast though. By my last count there’s 4 base electrics within 100 miles of me in NJ.
