These really need the old @HN308 trick to be effective. NJ buyer (no tax) and NY dealer (low doc fee). Even at sticker with $15,250 now on the hood you’ve got a great deal provided the rest of the numbers didn’t take a complete nosedive. If more inventory really is on the way I’m wondering how this will play out.
If they really do try to charge $5k over sticker as @Long_island said then slight increase in rebate won’t help much.
But, I’m cursors to watch how it unfolds which who gets to be stuck holding the bag. The dealership trying to make $5k on a car they should be trying to get rid of as if it was a plague. Because without this rebate no one even looked at it at all.
But someone’s gotta kill the goose that lays golden eggs or there would not be a story about it.

Deal bragging and virtue signaling! I love it. Limited ev, 140/ month including 9%tax, 710 due at signing. 500 drive boost rebate and will apply for 1500 PA state rebate. Also sold 2018 accord 1.5 touring to vroom with about 900 equity. #winning

Fitz in rockville. Was it the white ioniq you were looking to get.
Assuming I get the same dealer I got my base Ioniq from to give me the same discount (~$1300 below MSRP), would the payment drop with the new MF/residual? The same numbers above apply to my area and I signed at $115/mon with $0 due at sign for 36M/12K.
I’d definitely get another one for my dad if I can get my hands on one and if it would be even cheaper with the same $2K NY rebate and $500 bonus drive (plus maybe another $50 test drive GC haha…)
I tried plugging in the numbers on the calculator but it was acting up. Any help would be appreciated!

Unlikely it would drop. RV dropped 3% which extra pay of $900 for $30k car. Rebate increased is less than this RV drop even with lower MF
Makes sense, thanks for explaining! I thought the MF drop would make up for the residual drop but it was already low to begin with, so I guess payments would be the same if not a little more.
I’m still curious to know the sale prices in two most recent deals so we all as a community can understand where dealerships are on these deals.

Some info that might be helpful for the bonus drive rebate. AAA only works with certain zip codes. I found out the hard way buy paying $60 to join only to learn my zip code doesn’t qualify. Grrr! I did call Bonus drive and a very nice lady informed my that anyone can just go to allstate.com/bonusdrive and apply straight through allstate for free even if you are not a policy holder! HaHa!
