It’s always local market driven. In SoCal you rarely have any for the plugs.
There is always next one. Every year there is at least one car that can be leased for $100.
True…I just hope the next one is a “stinger” lol

What else am I supposed to do? 
I’ve been looking into the same. Carvana number is around $23k and the buyout from Hyundai is about $17.6k. Has anyone ever sold a EV lease in NY? I believe there is some fine print with the NYS rebate, and having to pay all or part of it back if sold prior to lease maturation. Even so there is quite a bit of positive equity there.
Yes, you have to pay it back if you don’t keep for full term of 36 months.
But plug in has only $1k of the rebate to give up.
I’ve got the full EV. Do you know is there similar fine print with the Fed credit too?

Thanks, I’ve seen that too. I haven’t been able to find out if there’s something similar with the federal tax credit though.
Doubt it, a lot of people were getting Teslas and flipping them right after purchase while claiming the credit. It still fulfilled its purpose of selling EV’s.
If you leased the car the Federal tax credit goes to manufacturer and they pass it on as lease cash so you don’t owe Fed anything.
The NY state is very flexible and if you sell it half way through the 36 months you only owe half the money back. One of my friends called and checked before selling his prius prime.

Did he notify NYS about the transaction? How did it go after he sold the car?
He called the department which processes the rebate before selling it.
They counted the months he had still left to 36 month term and said to refund that much money back to them.
Ok. Do You know what happen if the car is totalled or stolen?
I don’t know what happens if car is stolen. Call the program administrator and don’t ask me the number as I don’t know that.
