2019 Audi S4 Lease Help

Or better yet, forget you ever heard of it as a metric as it’s absolutely useless

It’s crazy expensive. You have to add an ATT data plan and give Audi 499 for 18 month package. OR! (Shhhhhhh) you can grab a free SIM card from Freedom Pop and activate the google earth feature free. Did that on my old A4. You just had to agree to connect to data. You can get 200mb free from Freedom Pop. You have to do a little tweaking in the MMI to get it to work, but it’s all on the AudiZine forums. It’s 3G so it’s a little slow, but free is a lot less than 60 a month…

You don’t have to do all that to get access to Google Earth and Audi Connect services. I do agree it is expensive. I only signed up for a 6 month plan for $199.

Freedom Pop is a disaster and a scam. I tried on 2 separate occasions to see if I could actually get use of “free” for this very exact purpose. Both times ended up never had service- couldn’t even get SIM activated. Worst customer service ever- but what do you expect for “free”. https://nwida.org/ting-leaves-sprint-forces-freedompop-customers-to-make-choice

I had free FP plan on a spare phone for a while.

By default they turn on optional services and then charge you for them, which you do not notice until you see the charges on your credit card bill, and then they make it difficult to figure out how to disable the options.

Even after I canceled, they randomly billed my credit card on 2-3 occasions for $0.01 each many, many months after canceling. These weren’t just errant authorizations, the charges actually posted.

And good luck reaching someone.

Exactly- avoid at all costs. #NoFreeLunch
