No, I think it’s in effect which is what the dealer told me today. My deal was closed on April 2 which was the last day for A Plan discount without any restrictions.

He didn’t know then. He’s fine with it :slightly_smiling_face:

If they’ve been postponed, that’s news to me and everyone I’ve spoken to. I’d love to be able to go to my local dealer and say ā€œhey, they actually postponed that, let’s do this dealā€.

Not many dealers will serve it to you on a plate after this upcoming change was widely reported, but there are some who will. But again, it may be regional, as I said before.

Interesting. I will investigate with a couple dealers and report back.

I’d be intrigued to learn more in regards to that as well.

I reached out to a couple of the dealers I’ve worked with basically saying I’m looking to do a deal if the policy has been postponed (which is true). I’ll update with what they say.

Why not to just say that you will put a deposit on a deal at X% off (where X > 6) + a-plan cash and see what they say?
@theburgerking got 10% off and a-plan (in Trophy Garage), don’t know this month or not.

I had a couple offers at 10% last week, but couldn’t jump at the time because of my trade in. Have a lease transfer pending at the moment, so it’d be a week or two before I could commit.

With a 44K sale price and 56% RV, the car is going to trade around 23K after two years? Isn’t that terrible resale?

We’re also in the market for V90CC and getting confused now, whether to go for it.

It’s based off msrp. Not sale price, so $33k residual

RV is based on MSRP.

Thanks, people! 202020

FYI. Manufacturers do not and cannot control what a dealer chooses to sell their vehicles for. There are no restrictions on what a Volvo dealer chooses to discount their vehicle. It’s just salesmanship. I received almost 11% off of my S90. It wasn’t difficult. Ya just gotta have the right person willing to do the deal. I chose the largest, most aggressive dealer in SoCal and had it delivered to my front door. Never stepped on the lot.

I have had two dealers tell me that they’re either not aware of a change in a-plan policy or it hasn’t gone into effect yet, so it would appear things may be delayed. I stand corrected it seems.

Yes the dealer can sell for what they want but in this case Volvo is providing an extra $3k and I am sure Volvo can put qualifying requirements for the dealer to earn that 3k.

I tried to see where you might guy have posted this, but which dealer did you ultimately go with?
