2018 Volvo S90 T6 MOM - Last Day of the Month Deal $237/mo

Closing on a deal for an S90 in NY. Please note that MSD’s do not work in New York State

I’m almost half-debating, because of these deals, seeing if anyone would take an S60 REALLY early…again, I like my car, but these deals are crazy, and it would be nice to have some extra money in my pocket…I do have the A-plan through work, set up, ready to go for the next car, but I have to wait 8 months for the pull-ahead.

It looks like I can get one for under $300 for 24/12, before tax, and at least one NYC-area dealer has 62 S60s. 62!!!

However, I kind of wanted to explore a V90/V60CC option for my next car. Any thoughts?

The president does!!

I would say we shoot for 199 S60 deal. I am in same boat as you ,

I feel like we’re close with some of them.

You mean you’re in the same boat with a lease that’s still out of pull-ahead? If I had use for a second car/money/space, I would do it, but I’m one person and live in an apartment. I also see this as an opportunity to save money, which is why I want to do it. Again, I like my car, but to jump into the next one at $100+ less, I would do it now, even though I have a lot of other expenses this month (horrible month for me, but sometimes, you just have to do it). But I really doubt they’d let me out this early. I’m not eligible for pull-ahead until December.

Should I look in to a group buy for volvo now :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Here here! I am definitely seeing a Volvo in my near future too, XC60 if the incentives get up to at least XC90 levels without dropping the RV in a few months. If the upcoming S60 gets S90-esque deals in a year or so I will probably jump on that too despite the ugly rear end design.

+1 [2020202020202020202020202020 is a complete sentence.]

Unless we’re talking about products with his name on them.

Have owned a Volvo 240 tank boxcar made in Sweden ~20 yrs ago. The quality is palpable, those things were indestructible. Currently own a S60 Transcription made in China, it looks nice and shiny, but the quality is cheap/plasticky.

Not sure if the XC60 and XC90 are made in China, does anyone know the answer to that?

Would consider place of manufacture a big factor even if leasing a S90.

Take one look at the fake food videos all over the internet, and you’ll think twice about something made in China.

Coming from an Asian person, so yeah…

As someone else previously mentioned, most of the items in your home are probably made in China.

Why? You’re just renting it for 2-3 years while it’s under warranty. If anything goes wrong, it isn’t your problem. What about cars made in Brazil, Mexico, India, or other 3rd world countries?

Don’t mean to be going off on an anti-Chinese rant (am not a Trump fan at all btw)…

Agree, if something small covered under warranty, no big deal at all.

But if “catastrophic” and family safety is involved, I would think twice. Even the tires on the S60 Transcription are made in China… can only depend on Volvo’s rep and quality control…

That said, obviously China is not known for reliability.

Off topic, but would you rather fly in a Boeing or a Chinese commercial jet? They will soon fill the skies in a few years. Just saying.

Can’t speak to the quality of China-built Volvos specifically, but to your point about commercial jets - you very well may have already flown on a Chinese built aircraft without knowing it. Airbus has been operating a production facility in China for over a decade, and has built over 1,000 A320s there. Delta also operates a couple of MD-90s that were built in China under a license granted by McDonnell Douglas. Point being, country of production tends not to matter as much as the company doing the producing and the quality control that goes into production, whether internal or imposed by regulation (in the case of both cars and aircraft sold or operated in the US, the NTSB plays a pretty big role).

Xc60 will be built in China for 2019.

Outside of the people here, can Volvo actually sell the car🙈

I bet you own a Chinese made iPhone.

well, they aren’t going to worry the big 2.5 anytime soon, but global sales rose in 2017 by 7%

Sales actually dropped in the US, but gained big in China (or is it Gina as the Philanderer-in-Chief would say)

My wife does. My Samsung is made in Korea. But my life doesnt ride on the iphone does it? That said this lease deal is fantastic. I would consider it, end if for xc60 or xc90 definitely

My iphone is good to me snd it was assembled in china…

I also owned a 1980 Volvo 240 that was indestructible. Picking up a new S90 tomorrow.
After all is said and done, I would suggest you go for that S90. You can’t beat the value even though it is made in China
