2018 Porsche 718 Cayman SOCAL. Feedback on this deal?

I’ve been trying to figure out a new lease since my current one is finally up and have been trying to get the best deal on a Cayman that I can. Doesn’t seem to really be “hackable” from what I’ve seen on the forum or Edmunds but so far this is the best I’ve been able to get from any local dealerships. Curious if anyone thinks this I can still do better.

What are you in right now and how much is left on it?

VW tiguan I have till feb, but VW is willing to take the car back now.

Then that’s not a bad price they gave you. VW doesn’t quality for “welcome to porsche”

Yes, that is a good deal as far as Porsche goes.
VW does not qualify for a conquest offer ?

Porsche lease conquest

The MF is really nice for a Porsche.
I could not get around the 0.00260 MF on a Macan which is highly sought after.
Gave up on ever leasing a Porsche…

You sure that residual is right on a base cayman? Edmunds says 63% for 10k miles, that means 64% for 7500 and 65% for 5000
.

Yeah I checked it with Edmunds 39/10 is 61% and 39/7.5 is 62%

36 is the sweet spot.

Hmm, car of my dreams, listening to this talk here:star_struck:.

Any 24m leases possible to sweeten the monthly ?*
The competitive conquest offer seems not to be brand limited. Do I understand it correctly, that if my Genesis is $360 now, they would credit me 3x360=$1080 ?

  • edit - I looked on Edmunds, trying to calculate what is the lowest possible lease but the calculator does not allow me mileages below 10k

from what I calculated 24/5k and 39/7.5k were about the same - and I would need at least 7.5k miles. 36/7.5k was coming out higher than 39/7.5k when i plug in the numbers

actually you’re right - 39 is the sweet spot. i just checked a quote from when i was looking for a cayman s for myself. really really wanted to love that car, but :frowning:

What’s wrong with it?

It doesn’t make sense in NYC. In red light to red light city driving, it lacks low-end torque, until you hit about 2400 RPM, so to get off the line, you have to really revv it up. It also had 20s, not run flats and there was no spare - which is a disaster waiting to happen in NYC. And the sound of the 4 cyl really bothered me, coming from a BMW 6 cylinder.

IMO it is the most beautiful car out there, and i really really wanted to love it.

Totally valid points. My 6 series was a nightmare when I lived in east village, I could only imagine how much worse a Cayman would be.

39 is the sweet spot on a new one. 24 is the sweet spot on a demo if the discount is big enough. I shopped for one for about a month - it just got delivered yesterday.

Find a service loaner - they’re rare but you can even do better. PM me if you want help; I’m an expert by this point.

Sweet car! Now if I could just find one with adaptive cruise control, ventilated seats, and CarPlay for no more than $800/month and as little due at signing as possible. I’d be all over it!
