2018 Infiniti Q60 3.0t AWD Luxe- Deal or No deal?

Hi everyone! I’m new here and decided to take a crack at leasing without a broker to see how I would do. I have been going back and forth with a few Infiniti dealers in NY and this is the best quote I got so far.

12k/39 month
MSRP - 51,380
Sales - 41,428
MF - .00003
RV - 46%
Incentive - 4,400
VPP - 1,500
Down payment - 2,500 (I know I tried for 0 down but couldn’t get the price range I liked).
Taxes + Fees upfront = 5,500 or so with down payment.
Total monthly - 379$.

How did I do? Do you think I could get a little better than this in NY? your input is appreciated. Thank you.

Oh gosh that doesn’t sound like a good deal at all.

From the MSRP, it sounds fully loaded.

It’s an effective $520 a month. I don’t have much experience with Infiniti, but I think there are much better deals to be had. With a 46% residual, you’re starting behind the 8 ball already, but there’s nothing you can do about that.

For comparison, the Red Sport is being offered for much less;

I’m not sure how I can go about getting a better deal since most of the dealerships around NY won’t play ball on the Q60 much and with 46% RV @mbchest is right! I’m going to see if I can get it within the 349$ range but I’m not sure if it would be a much better deal. Thoughts? @max_g

I think it is fully loaded.

Keep in mind, you’re putting a significant amount of money down up front to even have an offer at $379 a month. That’s not advisable, since you’ll lose the down payment if the car is stolen or totaled.

When you say you want to get to $349 a month, you need to take hat down payment into account. Any car can be had be for $349 a month if you put enough upfront for a down payment - that doesn’t mean it’s a good deal.

You should be trying for $0 DAS, or at the very least (since you’re in NY) just paying the taxes and upfront.

Here’s another Q50 Red Sport with a higher MSRP for $412 a month and only about $900 DAS:

You’re in two different stares which treat taxes differently, so it’s not exactly an apples-to-apples comparison, but the point is that there are better models of the Q50 that cost more, and have better performance, which are actually cheaper to lease than what you’ve been offered.

Like @MBchest said don’t kid yourself…with $5500 DAS, you’re effectively still at $500+ per month

Thank you for breaking it down more. I appreciate it, I’m new at leasing so just trying my hand. While my initial price point isn’t feasible, I hope to land around 375-390$/month somehow with less than 5,500$ up front. The Q50 is nice but I’m just not looking for another sedan. I think I’m going to go with a broker on this one. @max_g I understand that now. Thank You.

Can you explain more about the sales tax credit?

Here’s an update, not sure how much better this deal is than the last one I posted but here it goes.

10k/39month Lease- Q60 AWD 3.0t Sensory package.
MSRP - $51,380
Sales price - $40,428
MF - .00003
RV - 47%
Incentives - $4,400
VPP - $1,500
Total DAS - $4,000 (Not sure how this is allocated with Tax + other fees)
Monthly Total - $379 (Pushing for $369 and I think I’ll sign.)

Thoughts?

Ehh. I just leased a q50 red sport. 55k msrp for 43k selling price. $900 down that includes first month payment and fees. $412/mo. 39 months 10,000 miles a year.

Plug it into the calculator and see if it makes sense. If that sales price is before VPP, that’s a steal of a deal. There’s also $3400 of lease cash on the luxe, not $4400.

Given effectively a 0% interest rate, you’re better off capping everything and doing this as a sign and drive, despite the higher payment.

@aronchi How do you find the lease cash information out each month for different models?

These guys are good, but not always correct. Generally, they’re solid on infiniti, acura, and BMW. For the more regional markets, they’re not great.

Brokers are sent dealer programs monthly. Helps us run cars for you all!

edited ~ ALWAYS 0 ZERO down or walk. If dealerships in your area are hard use a broker.

Is there preferred list of brokers based on region/location? The dealership in my area offered me 15% off of msrp and didn’t even respond when I mentioned other dealers were offering 22% to 26%

Did you finally get the Q60? Asked multiple dealer, Q60 is much less discount than Q50
