2018 Audi A6 3.0T Premium Plus crazy high lease need help

Hello Hackrs. I am new to this wonderful website.
I was at my local audi dealer yesterday.

I was offered $950 a month (taxes and tags enrolled + acq fee ) for a 2018 Audi A6 3.0T Premium Plus, 12k miles a year, 3,000 down (60,000 msrp, discount 2,000).

I was told by the manager that I was getting a great deal, and that people who lease a Prestige trim are over 1000 a month! I was shocked. 950 bucks a month is like an $80,000+ car?!!!

I work in the car industry also, and I was expecting to be at around 650 max on this car, with no money down, 15k a year. My absolute max is 750. Maybe I am off, but that is why I am here to ask. At least I have seen 2018 S4’s being leased at 600-650 a month due to higher residuals.

Any tips you can give me regarding real lease prices and incentives?

Thank you!

I doubt you’ll get that for $650/month with $0 down and 15k/yr. You should be able to get a bigger discount, but you need to also know what MF/RV/incentives to determine a realistic lease number.

Maybe you are right. I would max out at 750 a month though. I see people leasing new S4’s for 600-650 a month. The residuals on them are about 10% better than on the A6. I am more worried about the realistic numbers, and what other lesees got on their A6’s.

Do you happen to have an example lease for an S4? That sounds pretty good for a performance Audi

2018 S4 MSRP: $58,195.00
Dealer discount: $6000.00
Selling price: $52195.00
MF: .00167
Residual: 56% at 10,000 miles/42 mo
Money Down: $4,000
Per Month: $571

The terms were for 42/10k. To get 15k, that’s another 3% RV hit. In any case, you can’t compare different models as their lease programs are not the same.

I suggest you try some of the leading agents on this site. I got my $55k 2017 a6 for 430/month with tax and 3k out the door march of last year. Only 10k miles, but that should be a $20-30 difference at most.

Leasing programs change every month. That deal may not be possible today.

I was expecting it to be in a similar range, but 950 is just crazy. Looking into the 540i, I see it is possible to get a loaded 540i m sport for 700ish. Some dealers are literally doing 9-10k off msrp, and the residuals are in the higher 50s.

Just checked, 39 month programs are the cheapest option.

Agreed, but as a reference it is telling. Try dsr leasing or stellar auto sourcing (tell him Dan with the ftype sent you). Stellar is in the tri-state area. They can certainly do better and make life a lot easier for you.
