2017 Volvo S60 Inscription Lease

Wasn’t it $7,900 on non-platinum Inscription last month? And $6,400 on Dynamic?

$8K on S90 T6 AWD Momentum!

Last month was 7900/6400 (1500 + 6400/4900).
This month is 8700/7250 (1500 + 7200/5750).

Yes, an extra $300 on S90 as well. Lease cash went from 3200 to 3500.

$6,250 on S90 T5
$3K on all 2017 XC90

Any other new incentives? Pull aheads? Also, anyone know the new MF/RV for 36/15k?

Volvo site and Edmunds

Looks like 500 labor day bonus cash just appeared on volvo payment estimator.

Its the jelly of the month club, the gift that keeps on giving…

Do volvos usually have such crap residuals? I’m tempted to pick up a 5 yr old one for a song.

Yes they have crap residual but lease ok due to heavy discounting. A 5 year old one can be had for a song but the maintenance can be a little tough on the wallet. But overall, used well-maintained low mileage Volvos are good SAFE cars.

I do my own maintenance on my non warranty cars so that’s not a huge issue for me. A 5 yr old s60/s90 with 75-100k miles for 12k is an attractive option, even compared to a $250-300 per month on a new one. They dont update the appearance of the vehicles very often, so the risk of obsolescence is minimal.

I got $14,700 for my squeaky clean 2012 S60 with about 25k miles in 2016 from a Volvo dealer. Others wouldn’t go above $13K.

Exactly - even the new ones are obsolete

Was that trade-in value or selling private party?

Trade-in, of course.

I’d like to get an opinion of the community of how much further this can be pushed.
This was offered right of the bat without any negotiations.

This is for the 2017 S60 AWD Dynamic (Loaner)
Lease Term: 36 months / 15K

MSPR: 40,590 (Vision Package, Nav, Heated Seats, Dest Charge)

Dealer Price: 33,641 (17%)
Rebates: $8,250 ($6,750 + 1,500)
Sale Price: $25,931

Residual: 41%
Money Factor: 0.00001
Loaner Penalty: 4,200 miles * $0.20 = $840

Payment (A): $355 ($0 due)
or
Payment (B) $323 with $1,331 due at signing
Due at signing would be:

    1. 1st months pmt $323,
    1. tax $60,
    1. Vinmark $299 (b/s fee),
    1. DOC $449 (not capped since in CT),
    1. DMV $199.

How much more is reasonable to ask for the dealer discount? 20%, 25%? More?

Why do you even need a loaner when you can get a new one for less?

I haven’t seen much conversation about getting New S60 for less ether here or on Edmunds.
A lot of what I’ve read had been in August but RV at the time was higher I think. And I’ve missed the whole S90 deal in September.

Well, you are paying the price now. But mileage penalty costs you $23/mo and no one wants 2017 T5 Dynamic, anyway and there are many left. I’m pretty sure if you tell your dealer that you’ll take this loaner today for $300/mo with 0 due, you may get it.
I wouldn’t take this car at this price now or before.

Appreciate the feedback.

What would be the price you would take it at? $200?

I was thinking $300 sign and drive is for sure possible.

If this car can be had for $300 which is 0.7% of MSRP then why this is a very bad deal?

I just want to better understand how to deal with it but it almost sounds like a even a $300 is something to walk away from?

2017 S60 inventory doesn’t seem to be be moving at all. Will be interesting to see what rock bottom looks like.
