They have a unit that has MSRP of 52K and may have a little extra room in negotiating (dealer holdback) I’m assuming.
I understand that Ally has higher rates but the dealer quoted somewhere at 7.5%, and said that it’s possible to drop the payments down to under 400 after tax.
Is this a good deal?
I will obviously tell them to kick rocks if they ask for a Down that’s not MSD. However my credit is high 7’s.
SO ANYWAY!
New to the Forum, so excuse me in advanced if I’m not fluent in the technical lingo!
I am an avid leaser, always manage to get real good deals, and rarely ever turn my car back in, I generally trade in for another car, and am rarely negative, usually positive equity in what I buy.
Now comes the time in my life where I NEED a truck. (I’m a sports car/sedan guy) So I am not uber excited about getting a truck, however the RAM Rebel seems to do exactly what I need, handle technical off-roading for work sites or weekend fun. It has the power and tech I generally like in a car, and I like how FCA it feels. I know that’s weird but I love cars with corporate identity. So the truck seems to fit for me, it’s more on the luxury end of trucks and have owned German luxury saloons I’m into any car that can check the box of being a little classy.
If you can get a $55k MSRP brand new 2017 RAM for $399/mo (even before taxes), that would be a great deal. The $2k down / 36 months = $56 so your effective monthly is really $455+tax.
I don’t think Dodge offers MSDs so that $2k is most like really a down payment/CCR
The Chevy Canyons are getting 82% RV for 24/10k so if you can 10% off MSRP that will get you a super great deal. Your total payments is about 8% of MSRP / 24 months
That deal on the Chevy sounds great! However up in eastern WA where I live, I think no one would come close to that, But I would love love love a 24 month lease.
Can’t compare the Colorado to the Rebel. Different league.
Under 400 with taxes and 0 down for the rebel would be great but be careful with how the dealer gets the payment there (if they ask for money down then they are just playing games).
Also ask them if they will lease via USbank which seems to have more IDL cash. For example look at the final lease price on this (with 3 k down)
vhooloo I am very interested in a 24 month period, even with 3k down that comes out to be a good lease on the Laramie, but the sale price is $35,999 after rebates which would be less then the rebates I am getting on the Rebel, so I guess I am confused even with 3k how they got to 249 on a 24?
I’ve read some threads about Rebates being region specific which is why I looked in two different places. These deals still aren’t good enough (to me) and I think I can get closer to $400/mo.
You are not comparing apples to apples. Not only are the terms different, but the RVs are totally different. Are you comparing the same vehicle and trim?
They’re both 2017 RAM 1500 Rebel 4x4’s but the options are different. Besides 4x2 and 4x4, there aren’t different sub-Trim levels; “Rebel” is the trim level for RAM 1500.
I realize they’re not apples to apples… One dealer told me 39mo was the lease term CJD offered and one told me 36mo. Obviously the 36mo seems to be the better deal and it’s what I’ll request pricing on going forward.
I called a local dealer on a demo rebel they have. MSRP: 57,100. They said they could come down to 52 minus the 4750 in rebates that Ram is running right now. Not sure if you can even lease a demo but not the greatest discount for a ‘new’ truck with 4700 miles on it.
