I would say its better than what I have been getting from dealers in NC which is $479 $0 down. I think there is much scope for lesser rate in Mazda, however CX-9 is hot cake for dealers right now. They are not willing to negotiate.
The only sales folks in NC that are willing to work with their customers is 1.) David Senkus @ Modern Infiniti of Greensboro (2) Blain Newton @ Battleground Kia
Rest I have spoken with BMW, Jaguar, NIssan, Infiniti, Kia dealerships and they all have this weird attitude of “take-it-or-leave-it” or “you can’t find a better deal in NC than this deal right here-right now”. I had to drive down to VA to get the deal I was looking for.
But by far the worst of the them all was the BMW dealerships both near home as well as Century BMW in SC. Their cars will be sitting on lots for months but they are averse to either talking sane numbers (Performance BMW) or responding once to their potential customers (Century BMW). It’s incredible!
I haven’t yet reached out to any Mazda or Acura dealership yet. Would recommend a slightly different approach…search for the Mazda model you want with all features on Cargurus within a 200-500 mile radius of your zip. Then look for the one that has been aging the most. If you like everything else about that car, crunch your estimates and then reach out to the dealership. It doesn’t matter where the dealership is…if they have inventory of 180 days plus, they should be eager to listen to you. Reach out to dealerships in VA, GA, SC and MD apart from NC. Good luck
I took this approach and got a crazy crazy deal on an Kia Optima SXL last week. But had to make a 3 hour trip to Midlothian, VA. If you are in the market for a 3 row crossover, would highly recommend you test drive the Kia Sorento SXL once before deciding.
Kia Optima SXL in pearl white, MSRP $37100. 12K/year, 24 months, sign and drive with all fees, taxes, charges rolled in, 1st payment by Kia, 23 remaining payments of $199 (including 3% NC tax) per month. This is factoring in $1200 for my trade after the payoff to the other bank so the true number is $249 a month which is still a wonderful number for me considering what the comfort & convenience feature set is and what the overall driving experience is.
Mazda doesn’t have a captive finance company like BMW, Ford, Toyota, etc. They use Chase which isn’t willing to take big losses to push metal out the door.
…First of all, I am thankful to everyone, so glad to see this forum (see my userName)
…So after some research and of course email exchanges (no visit to dealership), this is the lowest offer I have. No one is buzzing down after this lol
Requesting pros to help validate this before I decide on this.
