Would you mind sharing dealership and contact info for your i3 lease deal? I’d like to get this same deal as well, thanks!
Bakersfield BMW, ask for Jessica. They don’t have many but will do a dealer transfer from Valencia or Fresno if a buyer is serious. I wish I had an address in Kern County, because they get another $3k rebate.
What state are you in?
Still trying to get some kind of deal on the rex, but it’s not easy.
I’m in nj …
Thanks, I am so CAl

@HN308 did your lease include gap insurance? and does your i3 have the iRemote App function for pre-conditioning?
Hard to tell whether it comes included in all package levels
So what exactly are available this month?
$2000 lease cash?
$500 corporate?
Someone mentioned $1000 buildout cash (not sure what that means btw)?
I still have an ol code from before but looks like some dealers don’t allow use of it.
OP is the king of all lease hacks btw. Incredible!
Did you finalize the deal? You can perhaps make it for 2 cars as I’ll pick one up too (in NJ!)
All BMWs include GAP. Heck, basically everyone except Toyota includes it
Not yet. Still waiting on this build out cash answer or to see if the OL cooupon will stack with fleet to make it the same discount after rebates.
No more build out cash. Idk what OL cash is. I might have some good news by tonight
Just as a heads up, BMW loyalty applies as long as someone in your household (same address, can be different last names) has a BMW, just learned this yesterday.
Every i3 includes app support and preconditioning.
My preferred way to use preconditioning was to set my work schedule and never have to think about it again. Whether it was hot or cold outside, my car was always right around 70 degrees when I’d get in it. Even Teslas don’t have this awesome scheduling ability.
This is so good to know!! Thank You!
Now… if only I could get that regular schedule…
Did you sign already?
Your questions about Gap insurance and Pre-conditioning are answered but there is another incentive with this car which I didn’t even know before i got it.
BMW with partnership with EVGO and chargepoint offers free DC fast charging for the first 24 months. For someone in an urban area with some free charging infrastructure around them can literally drive for real cheap.
We finished the 1st week with the car and drove around 300 odd miles and have yet to use the REX. I don’t think we will use the REX more than couple of times in my lease duration.
The car is charged on Level 1 charger in the garage every night and is fully charged by morning and preconditioned at 7 AM. With the temp in 20’s now that is a important feature with lack of heated steering.
HN.
Anyone knows what is the available incentive in socal area? I only found $500 for amex card holder and $500 fleet lease incentive on true car.com should I wait for a bit longer for more incentive to come out? I am looking to lease one of the Ev’s essentially leaf bolt or i3
@HN308 that’s awesome! Did they give you an access code or something or do we just sign up for that partnership benefit?
I don’t think I would use the Rex much either. I might just use it now and then to prevent the gas from getting old.
I also have the i3 (i did research this benefit as I was reading more about the car) i can help you with the details. The manual/glovebox docs includes a card with a code (the card is called EVgo or chargepoint or something like that), i went online and signed up. Its really cool.
Also the GPS has built-in info on the nearest charge stations.
Rough guesstimate
24K miles at 30mpg = 800 gallons @ 2.5/gal = $2k in gas expense
using a roughly 15cent per Kwh and using online calcualtors (putting the “egallon” at just over $1/egal) then the cost to charge this car for 24K miles is just over $800 in electricity bills (not counting those of us who pay lower electricity bills at night, off peak etc).
so thats another 1K to perhaps 1.3K in savings… this i3 is the gift that keeps on giving!

favorite quote (note 15K miles):
“five 100 watt light bulbs left on continuously for a year use nearly the same amount of energy as it takes to power an electric car 15,000 miles! Here’s how: Five 100 watt light bulbs use 500 watts. In 24 hours they use 12,000 watt-hours or 12 kWh. In 365 days they use 4,380 kWh. A typical EV that uses 30 kWh for every 100 miles will use 4,500 kWh to drive 15,000 miles”
unless your car is coded which is effectively changing some settings in the software of the car you cannot use the REX at will.
The engine only kicks in when the battery gets below 6%.
There is a however an engine maintenance cycle which run periodically to keep the engine and the fuel system working smoothly.
I got the message for such maintenance cycle when driving back from dealer as the car might be sitting on his lot for few months.
For those who have an i3, what is the charging time on a regular 110v outlet? I’ve already found the car that I want with the right price. I’ve seen at other forum mentioning it took 20 hours to charge a completely depleted battery. My commute is 80 miles a day and I don’t want to spend the money on a level 2 charger on a car that I will only keep for 24 months.
