Those wheels look so undersized for such a large vehicle. And I’m guessing those are 20" wheels already, meaning you’d need maybe 22s to start to look proportional.
I will as a rental for road trips😂
Here’s my take on the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, after having been a passenger in the Wagoneer.
- It is a nice SUV, but it is still an $80k+ Jeep
- At that price point, you could also get a loaded BMW X5, X7, Audi Q7, Q8, MB GLE, GLS, Cadillac Escalade, Range Rover Sport, GMC Yukon, Chevy Tahoe
- Narrowing down the list to 3-row SUVs leaves the following:
BMW X7, Audi Q7, MB GLS, Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon, and Chevy Tahoe
Given these above options, the Jeep does not stand a chance. I would probably go for an X7 or Q7, if I “needed” a 3-row luxury SUV at that price point. However, the Jeep does come with a base 5.7L V8 engine (in the Wagoneer) and a 6.4L V8 engine (in the Grand Wagoneer).
The pro of Wagoneer is its 2nd and 3rd row legroom.
3rd row legroom in Wagoneer is only 3 inches shorter than 2nd row in X7.
But do I want to spend 80k+ at a CDJR stealdership? No unless it’s a 392 or TRX.
A Wagoneer Series II can be had in the mid to low 60s (even if you can’t replicate what I was offered). That’s quite a ways away from $80k.
Instead of calling it a Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer they should have just called them all one name and then have a Series 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 based on the options.
Also, as I mentioned earlier the advantage with the Wagoneer is that there’s plenty of inventory on lots whereas you’re not going to get most of those other models you mentioned at sticker price off the lot…maybe if you order one.
One con against the Grand Wagoneer is its combined 15 mpg.

True, but it does not always equate to a large discount.

Up here in MA, the highest discount posted on my local dealer’s website is a paltry 3% off MSRP.

A Wagoneer Series II can be had in the mid to low 60s
True, but the dealer nearest me only seems to have $75k+ series 2 Wagoneers.
If they’re advertising 3% off MSRP you should be able to easily get at least 5% off. Nobody ever advertises their best price. Then add on at least $7,500 in rebates and $75k is now under $65k.
Possibly, but I am not in the market.
my dealership only offering 2k discount, I have tried all dealership near 2 hours of my location. perhaps I should fly to other states lol
What’s your location
Are you making offers, or asking for quotes?
I just bought a Grand Series 2 and got 9.75% off MSRP, very doable.
so you got 9k rebate + 9.75% off MSRP?

Mind sharing more info for folks looking at this car, such as:
- Location
- In stock unit or custom order
- Was there a trade involved?
- Any incentives that were applied to the deal
No, just the discount from MSRP. At the time there were not any incentives besides financing rates for the Grand Wagoneer; I believe the Wagoneer had a handful but I wanted the 6.4L.
Paid $92,200 for a $102,030 MSRP car, so I guess actually closer to 9.65% off.

In stock unit -
Was there a trade involved?
Yes, traded my wife’s 2018 F-Pace with ~63k miles. I believe we got $41,500 for her car -
Any incentives that were applied to the deal
No, there were none at the time (April '22)
The legroom is truly wild. I’m like 6’1, 230 lbs and can set the drivers seat where I would want it, climb in the second row and set it where I want it - and have like 4-5" of extra knee space, then climb in the 3rd row and still not have me knees touch the seat.
We drove the Navigator, Escalade, X7, GLS, Yukon and the interior space of the wagoneer blew them all out of the water.
Thoughts on a series II MSRP 70845.
Dealer discount is 7600
Incentives are 7500
Works out to 21% off total.
I would take that. 55k is just a regular grand cherokee limited.
