Hello there, if you’re salesperson have you the ok to share I would love to know as well. I’ve been in the market for a full sized truck and haven’t come close to a deal like this either. I’m in MA but would do this in a heartbeat if they shipped as well!! Thanks in advance
ie not for work…
I did talk to my sales gal today, they do deal with out of state buyers, mostly immediate surrounding states MN/SD/WI/IA maybe more. If anyone is interested, just message me, and I can share her contact info. Also keep in mind, incentives and rebates are based on where the vehicle will be registered, not where the car is purchased. So this deal may or maynot be replicated depending on your specific details. Rates also change monthly. Ford in particular really padded the Residuals/MF this month on the XLT trim, and I expect they won’t be as good next month. One tip for all of you, find a truck on a dealer site that catches your eye, then go to the Ford site, build out that exact truck your looking at (Crew/2.7Eco/4x4/302a/Nav for highest incentives), on the final page it will tell you what Incentives/rebates you are eligible for in your ZIP (Click “Lease” Tab). If you click the little “?” symbol next to the total rebate amount it will display them itemized. Then go over to the Edmunds forum and ask for the MF/Res. numbers for your zip, with all that information, you can get within $10-15 dollars of what you can expect/should pay. Dealer discounts should be in the $6000 range on a $50-52k F-150 before rebates & incentives are applied (again, look at the dealers site, and you can get a good idea what stock/vehicles they have dealer discounted more than others). Just watch out for dealers inflating the MF to take a bit more cream off the top.
why does it matter what he uses it for? are you his wife or something lol. I bet you think that the king ranch, platinum and limited trims aren’t real trucks either and while we are at it raptors aren’t real trucks since I have never not seen a raptor used as an off road toy.
Congrats to op, enjoy the truck you got a good deal and don’t let these “real truck guys,” bother you.
we were at the Detroit autoshow, and it was shocking how many ‘real truck’ bros there were. GM in their building has a display of old trucks. Guys back then must have all been girly men because the trucks weren’t lifted 40in off the ground.
Oddly, trucks are often used for work …making leasing problematic
First of all what difference does it make to you what he uses it for? He’s simply asking for opinions on his deal, I have seen this on a bunch of threads where people sh*t on the op because they cant afford the car or in this case dont “use it for its true purpose.” Either way you sound super butthurt.
Who says leasing trucks for work is problematic? Construction companies do it all the time, landscaping companies, etc etc. Unlike a purchase lease payments can be written off versus depreciation on a purchase, I didn’t know you were a cpa/financial advisor, and if you are shame on you for saying that lmao.
That’s exactly it. I can afford to drive any vehicle I want. I have learned over the years, I’m just a “Truck” guy, and I have owned everything from Accords to BMW’s. I certainly don’t work them as hard as some, but I like being able to drive in any conditions, haul or tow anything, anytime. I like the head and leg room, and sitting up high. These modern day trucks are basically luxury vehicles, and i’ve gotten 2mpg better than our 4cyl Honda Element these first few Fill-ups. They also surprisingly lease very well, if you know what your doing and find the right mix of Discounts, MF’s & Residuals. There is nothing in a truck lease contract that prevents you from using them as a truck, no limit on towing, accessorize them all you want, and bed wear is expected as normal wear & tear. Outside of a few outdated Volvo models and handful of others, there are not many $50k+ vehicles you can lease for under $400/$0 down. I’m surprised actually 1/2 ton trucks are not more popular on this site, probably the most hackable leases going.
That’s a good deal. Ford leases are tricky. I am about to order an XLT with appearance package etc. I had to spend a lot of time looking over all there programs to maximize the best deal.
Good job on the f150!
@XBeatzX, great deal on your lease. Did your truck have any “on the sticker” discounts? If so, did they use the original MSRP as the selling price or the discounted price?
Yep, great question. My sticker had the XLT Chrome Lux and Nav Discount, $2250.00 total. They based the Residual off the original MSRP, before deducting the Discounts. Basically I got a just over $6500 dealer discount on the contract, which includes the $2250.00, and then the $3550 in Rebates. So the way the math works, you should really try and find a truck with the 302A and Nav. to maximise the Residual & Msrp Ratio. One sort of quick way to tell, when you go to a dealers website, and they show the prices with the Discounts/Rebates deducted, those trucks you see with slightly higher discount numbers ($10k vs 8k for instance), is stock that has these equipment group discounts applied. Residuals still look great in March (our region anyway), MF went up just a little on the XLT, but I believe the rebates in our zone also went up a little, so probably evens out. Should be another good month to get into one of these. I have a hunch Residuals will start going down here soon. That new '19 Ram is hitting dealers as we speak (looks fantastic), they released prices this morning, and are VERY competitive (some trims actually went down in price, but don’t expect good leases until they offer Rebates/Discount, likely a year). FCA is going to sell a ton of 'em starting here in a few weeks, and will definitely have an impact on the F-150 sales, not to mention GM’s new redesign in the fall, so I’m not sure how Ford is going to respond to that. They may keep inflating the Residuals a bit to compete, or start letting a bit of air out. And one other piece of advice, if you can, find one with the “Sync Connect” feature ($235 option, not to be confused with Sync 3). Know Idea what it was until I got the truck, but I’ll never get another F-150 without it. Basicly start/unlock/monitor/find/status your truck from your phone. Can’t be dealer added after the fact.
Thanks for the detailed response. Time to start hacking. There are a few xlts near me at $15k off (for purchase). I’ve asked the dealer to split the discount out, we 'll see what he says. Might be an opportunity to get something out of the quarterhorse membership I signed up for awhile ago… (500 rebate)
Edit, just found out my standard lease rebates are only 1800 this month on this vehicle.
Also besides the horse 500 you can get 500 from farm bureau. Also each dealer has 250 dollar vouchers they can apply towards cars suv and trucks. I just got them to give me two.
Man where are you guys getting these deals? The most I can seem to get is like a $4500 dealer discount on a XLT. I am in san diego.
expand your search on cars.com, you may have to go an extra hundred miles or so.
I would love to be able to replicate this deal. Hoping to get a similar deal in April or May
I’m in San Diego too. You will NEVER find good deals locally.
I went to Idaho to buy my 2017 Ram 3500 Laramie CC 4x4 CTD (Dennis Dillon). $15k off
And I just got my 2018 Colorado Crew Cab from Keye’s Chevy in Van Nuys. 24/12 $185/mo with 1st at drive off.
Best advice is plug in a 500 miles radius and start working the phone.
I also shopped a LOT on Honcker and made the dealership beat their best rate.
Honcker seems like it has terrible deals. Are you guys actually seeing decent deals?
+1
The deals on the app are pretty bad. Maybe it’s a regional thing
