GLE450e is definitely the perfect PHEV mid-size SUV, ticks all the box for me. Sucks MB cut the production of it and it’s not quite welcomed in TX, the inventory is almost non existent
I thought you disappeared my friend

Are you certain about that? I have not heard anything about production cuts. You should purchase out of state. This is the first I have heard of that. We are in SoCA and we see them everywhere. They are also mfg-ed in Alabama. Not doubting you, but worth digging into it more if you really want one. We have been very happy with it and took it on a 2K mile road trip, was a pleasure driving it.
That’s where all of them went, unironically lol. There are literally 2 '26 in the entire state of Texas. As far as I can understand, a regular production run shouldn’t have left a regular-ish trim with only single digit number of inventory in one of the biggest markets. It’s likely MB is setting the production numbers to fill the west coast needs only and all of them are being traded to CA dealers. Just my speculations.
You should purchase out of state.
Well, it’s an extraordinary hassle to find an out-of-state dealer that applies lender’s credit/ sales tax credit, I’ve actually never done it with MB so tbh I’m not even sure if it’s possible. Even it’s a yes, from my past experience there might only be a dozen of them who knows how to do it, and it would need another coincidence that he actually has a GLE450e (and not $95K MSRP).
Haven’t driven GLE350, but 523 torque on T8 tells me everything I need to know without comparing hp
Did the exact same switch 2 days ago. T8 PHEV to GLE 450. Overall I like Mercedes better for the software and space. T8 definitely has that instant torque which is the only thing I miss but definitely won’t miss their half baked Android software.
Nope. I might just bite bullet and buy a car this time. Not too sure. I still have few more cars lol
Same. I really want another but the almost 5k up front money is a no-go for me. I’m undecided. Here for the ideas.
Ok, I went today to a MB dealership and test drove the GLE350 quite extensively. The car is really great but the Volvo seats have ruined most of other cars for me. While the GLE itself is a really great car, the seats are terrible. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t make it work for me. For that reason, this one is off my list. The hunt continues…
Don’t forget fuel economy lol
Yeah, not

obv
I am in the same boat here…what are you Volvo guys finding out there now?
My T8 is up in December. Strongly leaning Sienna purchase. Volvo has been great. No issues but the space doesn’t compare to the minivan. Too bad nobody manufactures a PHEV minivan with AWD. I’d be first in line.
Has anyone had any luck with extensions on these XC90s?
When you request the extension the very first thing they ask for is signed order. It has a common number that they have visibility to and they won’t approve extension without it.
I called them on Friday and only 1 extra month was granted.
With out without a signed order?
Yes, that is their standard “courtesy” extension. I want to replace my 2025 XC90 T8 Ultra but the incentives on EX90 or XC90 PHEV are just not same. I can’t afford another $200-$300/month! Lol
1 month max without order, 3 months max with order.
Thanks. Interesting that Volvo cites 5 months in their lease agreement. (Not promised, obviously, but as a possibility)
“Notwithstanding your continued payments, your Lease
will not be extended more than 5 months from the original scheduled termination
date and this limitation may not be modified by written or oral agreement.”
