I was considering a one pay on a pathfinder. I drove a pathfinder platinum and was underwhelmed. Comparing to my current xc60, it felt awfully cheap in the interior. To each their own, I guess.

Sell your Lexus separately and take the $8k in equity.

With the amt of kids you have to shuttle around, prob best to buy an Odyssey. I believe Autocompanion was under MSRP on them .

I’d point you to a Sienna but it’ll be tough to find one at MSRP on the lot right now. Will prob have to wait a few weeks for one at MSRP.

Well first you need to know how much equity you have based on the highest bid from the links that @jeisensc posted. You might have more than $8,000 equity.

The Lexus has quite a bit of equity in it - roughly $8K if I sell to Carvana and $7K if I sell to a broker. Broker has offered me a deal for a Volvo XC90 Plus ($64K msrp) - if I hand over my car to them, $654 down and $654 a month (10k/36).

But let’s say $8,000 is the most equity you can get so by handing over the car to the Volvo dealer you are really doing $8,000 + $654 = $8,654 DAS.

That’s almost a $32,000 total lease cost which is just preposterous for a $64k MSRP car.

The GLB is just a non-starter because it’s too small. I’d even question whether the XC90 might be too small. Have you taken the whole family and tried to put kids in the third row while RF infant seats get in the way and tried to stow strollers etc while the third row is being used?

The GLB is crazy tight. the third row sounds good but even out of the equation the front and “middle” row seem smaller then a C-class sedan

I had one…think we picked the 3rd row up 3X in 3 years and it wasnt terrible for smaller sized adults. but the overall room of the front, back seats and trunk were wonderful.

Depends on the use case. For example how many RF seats are in the second row, height of front seat drivers/passengers, single or double stroller, whether third row children need to be harnessed or helped by an adult, etc.

Whenever I service the MB, if a GLA or a GLB are in queue as loaner options, my advisor has the valet go out and find something else for me. “I don’t even consider those a Mercedes” is what he tells me lol
