Hi, I have read in a couple of places something about a $2k discount on a lease through Amex. I have googled it and all I could find was that you can charge $2k or more of a car purchase on Amex. Wondering if someone can point me to a reference? Thank you!
Mercedes qualifies you for fleet if you have an Amex card. The amount of the fleet discount varies by model.

It’s important to keep in mind during target formulation or negotiations what comes out of a dealership’s pocket (like an actual discount) and what does not.
Amex, Fleet, etc is a rebate from another party (MBFS) and is the latter.

You are mixing Amex Terms.
- Buy a Merc , get a variable amount of money off $1000-4000
- The Dealer that supports Amex will allow at least $2000 to be put on the card
- Amex will reimburse you up to $2000 in the first 45 days for repairs and deductibles (I assume this means used?)
So when you say $2000 you have go to be talking about the latter 2. The first is variable depending on the model.
Take this with a grain of salt since I found it on truecar. It says there is a $2500 amex incentive. I got the amex incentive during the summer. I am trying to buy another EQ from Mercedes but probably can’t use the amex because it says that you can only use it once a year. I’ll need to find another fleet incentive.
