I am working on selling a lease to carvana as well so the pay off amount that US bank gave me is the one that Carvana is going to use or not

Who you sell to has no effect on your MSD.

You need to understand if your buyout quote from the lessor is net of MSD or not.

MSD can be applied to the buyout price or returned to you as a check

Trying to understand, you’re saying that MSD’s would be returned regardless of the buyout amount, as that is the end of lease?

Let’s say the buyout is $33k and the bank has $3k of your MSD… so net net the balance owed is $30k

If you accept an offer of $30k from Carvana or whoever, don’t expect any checks coming back to you.

You can’t have your MSD and eat it too.

I had Carvana give me a bid to buy my 2014 Mustang. They came in $2,200.00 under what the DEALER offered. No deal there.
