Worth getting a second ioniq?

I was able to snaga good deal ( $389 month, $1750DAS) on an Ioniq 5 Sel awd. Driving it for about a week and I really like the car. I fully own a second car - honda odyssey 2015 68k miles- which Im getting about $18k offer from carmax and carvana but only $13k from local dealer and vroom etc.

Im thinking… are ioniq deals that good now? I have loyalty rebate which I wasnt able to use on my first ioniq (didnt apply to that trim). So im tempted to get a second ioniq 5 or 6, and sell my Honda. Im thhinking my honda will lose money anyway if i wait to sell it a few more years so why no cash in on it and on ioniqs. Wdyt? Wwyd?

Im happy not doing anything more but just I have this itch. TIA.

Do you love the Ioniq much more than the Odyssey? And is your Odyssey having problems?

No problems with Ody. Its just that someone is willing to pay $18k vs $13k. I could hold on to it forever but we do need a second car. (Family). Just a thought. May be Im overthinking overhacking here.

It really depends on how much you currently spend on gas. If you’re spending $400/mo in gas like my wife, it’s probably worth getting another Ioniq. You should probably keep the minivan for road trips.

Unless you really need a minivan, just sell it off and get second Ioniq 5 - 2 years of free electrify america charging.

You can use the loyalty and they are offering free charger - level 2 and covering portion of installation costs as well. If you are able to get around $6k one pay for 24/12k, it’s a good deal.

Also try Driveway.com with your Odyssey. See what they offer you.

I have a model y and have range anxiety at times. I don’t think I can do two electric cars anytime in the near future. Keep your gas Odyssey until the wheels fall off. Never know when you need to hop in a go and not have to worry about charging.

Thanks for all your inputs.

Today being the last day of September promotion I was tempted to check on any last minute deals. Together with another member I was able to get an amzing deal on an Ioniq 6 sel awd. Total one pay $6600 including 6k off msrp plus 10k in rebates. Couldnt pass this up so signed it just before store closing.

So next is to sell the Ody. Carmax is giving $18k. Lets see how thay goes.

curious what that last minute deal looked like! 6k off msrp on a lease??

What kinda rebates are you getting? In this a NE or California deal? In Minnesota been looking for an Ioniq 6 for a while and can’t get anywhere near that kinda price

Yes on a 24month/12k mile lease

Im in Seattle. The rebates included $7500 lease bonus and $2500 loyalty

They applied loyalty because you purchased two Ioniqs together and no previous Hyundai owned car?

Number of dreams for most of us. LOL

And I thought Washington was supposed to be horrible for deals!

They said that would work as well but I had a beater Hyundai I got a couple of weeks ago. So it worked

Yea I thought so too. But really all I had to do was keep asking a bunch of dealers. Some plainly said no to 6k off. A couple said 5k max. This one dealer also said 5k a few days ago but yesterday I told them its last day of september promo so if they take 6k off I can come in. They immediately said sure they can!

I drive a lot, almost 23-24k miles per year. I got I5 last month August, and I was really tempted to use the loyalty to get the ioniq 6. Kinda sad I did not, but im happy you did!

Wow so that’s it, no funky rebates that the state provide for having an EV or anything?

I’d bet dollars to donuts that no dealer in the NE US would agree to 6k off, yesterday, today, or tomorrow.
