Worst leases you've seen

Worst one I was ever quoted was a 2016 Golf R. 900/month for a 40k vehicle!

I saw one of these Rolls Royce SUV things parked across from my office today and it kept distracting me with how truly hideous it was. I couldn’t stop staring. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an ugly car in my life. It was like a hearse if hearses weren’t cool looking. I actually think it looks better in this pic than it did in person.

I think it goes without saying that if you can’t afford to buy a $400k car in cash, you probably shouldn’t have it.

"2.50/mile over 2,500 miles per year " :flushed:

Total cost of that lease is around the $250k mark, assuming you don’t dare drive over 6 miles a day and someone in a Nissan Versa doesn’t ding your door in the chipotle parking lot (which I kinda hope they do)

…I’m simply shocked and appalled at just how dog shit this contract is at ~200mi/mo.

Okay people, $1,000 to the first person that hacks one of these for $2,000/mo on a 36/15!

Seriously though, that $2.50/mile is a BARGAIN compared to the base $34.13/mile…

Feels like the kind of thing this guy needs . . .

It might be a single-pay lease, check the description.

They took it down. Most likely typo, as others mentioned.

While shopping for retired BMW loaners last month, the metro Detroit dealers didn’t disappoint:

2019 BMW 430i Gran Coupe xdrive - $51k MSRP
~4800 demo miles
$536/mo including 6% sales tax
$2000 DAS
no MSD

Oh man, that made me laugh and laugh. I showed him the current offer I had from Ohio for same MSRP car and same mileage for $315/mo and only $1600 DAS. When I applied MSD it dropped to around $290/mo, and the guy flat out said “go grab that deal”. He didn’t even want to ask his manager about MSDs. Unbelievable.

I get it Batmitestar!

Man this thread is a dumpster fire now

That’s a typical deal, and would be a good deal to someone off the street.

This thread isn’t “normal leases you’ve seen”

You seriously think $536/mo for a retired loaner with $5000 in lease cash is a “normal” lease? Maybe for a brand new one, but not a loaner with almost 5k miles.

It’s an everyday offer.

They all aren’t great deals. I’d hardly call this “worst.”

You gotta remember, most people that haven’t seen this forum have no idea that a loaner should warrant a large discount.

I often wondered if people really “laugh and laugh and laugh” or “laugh in the sales persons face” when they get an offer they don’t like. Maybe I have a weird sense of humor, but I never really found an offer I didn’t want to purchase as something that is knee slapping funny.

and some that have are now way too overly optimistic.

Did you expect a unicorn deal right away? To an average person that is a starting point from which they would negotiate a bit then leave happy knowing they scored a great deal. The initial offer really doesn’t matter. I think this thread should be able leases people actually closed not random offers people received.

You aren’t the target market for that dealership which is why they didn’t bother.

Not expecting a unicorn at all.

But when I get emails like this advertisement, I don’t get why I’m not the target market? This 440 loaner is $61k and $509/mo
