Working on a 2019 Lexus RX350 deal. Advice?

Long-time lurker, and my first post.

I’ve been trying to structure a 36/12k deal on a 2019 Lexus RX350. I know the residual is 55% and the MF is 0.0003 along with $2,500 lease cash. I qualify for college grad as well. Also,I have a Toyota Highlander lease I’m needing to trade (way over mileage!) so I know I will be slightly upside down in that. I currently owe $32,214. Vroom has offered $30,000 as well as Carvana… haven’t tried Carmax as I don’t have one local. I may just pay the difference and be done with it. As far as why am I trading the vehicle now… it’s either pay a mileage fee at the end or jump ship now. On my last Highlander, I was able to get out with equity in this exact same scenario, but the value dropped significantly on them apparently.

I have contacted 4 dealerships. Only 3 have responded. Here are the following crappy deals:

Monthly payment post tax: $910.39

This dealer also said if I’m shopping multiple places, someone will always beat the deal (REALLY!?)

At this point, I’m considering using a broker unless anyone knows of a Lexus dealer that’s transparent and doesn’t play games. I’ve gone back and forth with each of these since last Friday. All refuse to show their full data screens. The dealers I’ve contacted are in 3 different states (I’m in Missouri), but within 200 miles.

$32,000? On the lease???
How many miles are you over and how many months are left to owe a whopping $32,000 on a Toyota Highlander???

He meant 32k pay off on Highlander but Vroom is buying it for 30k…so he owes 2k.

Anyway, all of the quotes are too high. Dealer 2 seems reasonable. I suggest go deeper on dealer 2 and ask for discounts. Lexus RX 2020 is upgrading a lot of features so 2019 should be discounted very soon.

Ask for 6k discount and be firm.

What year and trim level is your Highlander?

Write up an offer that you want, aim for closer to 12% dealer discount and email it to them asking if they can do the deal. No point in endlessly requesting quotes from them. Email all the dealers around you.

The Highlander is a ‘17 AWD SE. I’m about 8k miles over (currently at about 33k miles) and in month 23 of 36. The extra mileage was unexpected and family related since I know some will say, “leasing isn’t for you with the mileage you’re driving.”

As far as discount, #1 is playing the “it’s a rare car” game and that’s why they won’t discount anymore. Deal #2 is saying they’re all in. They’ve had this particular vehicle for several months. I’ve told them they’re very close if they would fix their MF.

Speaking of, I have 3 different lease calculators and none are calculating what these dealers are. The hackr calculator is by far the lowest.

Not sure where you are located but I’m looking at a 2019 RX350 Luxury Package right now as well. I also have a trade which is my Volvo XC60 but I’m breaking even on that.

My current offer is.

MSRP $60,798
Selling Price $52670 ($8128 Discount) This includes $2500 Lease Cash
DAS is $688 (Monthly Plus Tax/Fees)
Monthly $590
45MO/12,000

I wish we could find a luxury, they’re few and far between. That’s the kind of deal I’m looking for too!

The dealer I’m working with has plenty of inventory with Luxury Package I don’t think there is a shortage it’s just where you’re located. If you’re open to purchasing from NC I can give you the dealer info and the Salesman I’m working with.

Deal 2.1 emailed back trying to justify his numbers (that don’t calculate.) I gave it a hard pass.

Capscruise, please send me the dealer info. I’m in MO, but shipping or flying in isn’t out of the question if it’s a transparent deal with no shadiness.

From seeing deals other people have done I’ve seen this car discounted for 10-13% off MSRP. Also if a dealer doesn’t want to share the MF and RV of the car I would see that as a red flag and refuse to do business with them.

Where are you? In the PNW area I can’t get these guys to discount anything. That’s a pretty good deal. They’re marking up the MF. Just got a quote for .00074, they said that’s with 720+ credit score. I thought luxury brands were more transparent.
