1). Car A: I have MBFS auto-pay scheduled on the 7th - this is the LAST payment
2). I leased another car (Car B) on the 5th and returned the old car (lease pull ahead)
3). MBFS cannot cancel the auto-pay since it has to be done 3 days before
So payment for Car A will go through on the 7th, but I no longer have the car as of the 5th.
Will MBFS refund the payment? I tried to call MBFS and got long wait time.
Finally got through MBFS and they said they will NOT refund the payment once it’s goes through.
I asked the dealer for suggestion and they said they can’t do anything with that last payment since it goes through MBFS, not them. Dealer said they can do lease pull ahead and take over the car, but not on payment that have been submitted.
I am going to call MBFS again and mention Lease Pull Ahead.
The 5th hasn’t happen yet, why are you writing in past tense?
If you haven’t taken delivery of the new car, throw it in the dealers court. Tell them you won’t take the car unless they figure it out for you. Depending how desperate they are and the payment amount they might just pay for the payment or make other arrangements.
We had a similar situation on a C-Class lease upgrade a couple years back and after multiple calls to MBFS were able to get a refund. Keep calling MBFS, they’re usually lenient with loyal customers from our personal experience.
Considering this is your 4th Mercedes, it appears you’re not very diligent about doing things in a manner that doesn’t expose you to extra charges and headaches.
Why didnt you get an inspection done prior to doing a lease pull-ahead?
Now you’re at the mercy of Mercedes about the condition of your car without the ability to do anything about it. And Mercedes likes to charge. I’ve had to fight them on on defective material that was not a wear and tear but just poor manufacturing and it was a nightmare. Did you at least take pictures yourself for proof of the condition of the car at the time you turned it in?
Also, still don’t understand why you’re talking about a date in the future as if it already passed.
