What would be a realistic price drop?
If you’re expecting that dealers are going to just give them away for 15% off because theres a new model, that probably won’t happen en-masse, as these will likely be a much better lease than the new model, so they’ll put “regular” customers into them for a much lower discount.
I’m sure there will be deals to be had, but they’ll likely come from the program improving, not dealers just choosing to lose hard cash.
S5 coupes have always leased like garbage.
S5 sportbacks leased well like 4 years ago?
You’re probably barking up the wrong tree if you want a good lease.
Tariffs on VW/Audis have entered the chat.
Appreciate your time/response. I’m new to this so pls bear with me. When you say better programs does that mean coming from the manufacturer? In my mind waiting until the new model comes this summer to lease the current style makes sense, or am I wrong?
Lastly is there any annual consistency to the Costco incentives on Audi’s? Seems GM is every Nov/Dec, was wondering if they do the same with Audi?
Thanks so much!
If they happen I’ll have to do a hard pivot.
My guess is VW group agrees to invest in US manufacturing and they never come to fruition, but we’ll see
I’m pretty sold on the s5 sportback. I just love the car. Looking to get back into a German car so the lease is what it is I suppose
VAG already has a plant in Chattanooga, TN that makes the Atlas and ID.4 for now.
As far as VAG opening more plants here or an Audi factory, that most likely will not happen any time soon and although Audi is doing well (enough), VAG has big enough problems in Europe and with EV sales.
Correct, they also have manufacturing in California. They certainly could expand. The tariffs were postponed, so there’s a deal to be made
If you want to lease a German car this month look at the Mercedes C300 and C43.
You will pay a lot more for a A5/S5 for no good reason. You could probably own a well-bought CPO S5 for a lot lower net cost too
Huh? Where does VAG have a manufacturing facility in California?
I’m wrong, they don’t. I re-read the article an it’s “proposed”, but more likely to be in South Carolina. Makes sense with the business climate.
Good thing is they are considering expanding US manufacturing.
