Why is the dealer charging me so much more than these other Ariya offers?

Looking to do an 18 month on an 2023 Ariya and am seeing almost exact incentives as this other post (screenshot below) but instead of $105 a month with 0 DAS they are trying to charge me ~$250 a month with $4k at signing.

My numbers:
MSRP: $45,085
Dealer Discount: $2,500
Ariya Customer Bonus Cash: $2,000
Final Price: $40,585

Rebates:
Lease Cash: $7,500
Lease Cash: $3,100

They are not REQUIRED to give you the best deal in the nation?

Without doing a full-blown calculator I notice a few things off the bat.

  1. @Wookies is in WA and you’re in MI. Are Nissan incentives regional?
  2. @Wookies has a larger dealer discount.
  3. @Wookies has more rebates. Hence, I ask about Nissan having differing rebates based on your location.
  4. What is your sales tax situation in MI vs WA?

I’m not seeing the 18 month Ariya Lease cash on the price sheet but it is in your rebate breakdown. The deal you referenced also has a better dealer discount.

You need to reach out to every dealer in 300 miles radius who has 2023MY in stock with the proposal of the payment you want to pay.
Good luck.

What folks post are good references, but it’s entirely up to you and the dealer you find to be able to meet or beat the deals.

Just because someone 2000 miles away got a deal, doesn’t mean you’ll get the same numbers. And vice versa.

As another poster said, you’ll want to spend time researching what is feasible and doable in your region. Or expand your search area significantly and look to pickup or shop from wherever you find the deal.

Or work with a broker on the marketplace (path of least resistance). May not be a unicorn deal, but you won’t be funding the dealer’s next personal watercraft or luxury watch

Good luck.

Post a LH calculator link for your target deal.

Your incentives are $9500. His are $14180. That is FAR from almost the exact incentives.

What do you think of this offer? It was for an end of month special and the car is still available so could try and renegotiate with the dealer.

How does 6.5% off compare to the deals youve researched?

Should’ve cropped out the dealer name (and your info). That car won’t be available for much longer lol.

What makes you assume motivation at the beginning of a quarter will equal / exceed motivation at the end of a quarter?

Car is one month older and 2025 are coming out in a few months, month end is still a motivator

Your lack of dealership experience is showing.

To get to 400 units sold you need to sell…wait for it…400 units. NONE of the 400 individual units is more important than the others.

Guess what happens if you reach your target before then end of the month?

Ofc it is. The 400th unit is way more important than the first unit.

Well they clearly hadn’t and were motivated to move that Nth unit at the end of June.

Tell me you haven’t worked at a store without saying you haven’t worked in a store…

Ok if that’s true, go sign a deal for less on the same car. IDK what your question is at this point.

I was asking if it was a good deal and if it is i’m hoping the dealer would honor it again this month.

You have to work out what a good deal is before you ever consider talking numbers with a dealer. You can not effectively negotiate if you don’t even know where you’re trying to get to.

So rather than worry about if this dealer will or won’t honor this deal, take a step back and put together a well-researched target deal so you know where you actually need to be.

Programs from the manufacturer may be different in July. You need to see if the July programs are the same as June. If not, all the dealer could do to “honor” a deal from last month would be to do the same dealer discount then apply whatever manufacturer programs are available this month
