Why few posts from Norcal?

Searching both Norcal and Socal for deals since I am currently visiting Socal but will be moving to Norcal shortly. Noticed that very few posts advertise as being from Norcal. Most are from Socal.

Is there a concrete reason for this besides population density? Should I close on a deal while im in Socal instead of waiting until I get to Norcal?

Thanks, im a total newbie to the California scene.

That highly depends on the vehicle you want, both regions have their own market

Im not very picky. I just want a good deal on an inexpensive ICE sedan or small SUV. Considering all of these:

  • toyota corolla
  • honda civic/accord
  • toyota corolla cross
  • honda hrv/crv
  • mazda cx 30

or any other cars from respected manufacturers in that ballpark. Im in bay area zip.

willing to pay a bit more for the small suv’s as opposed to the sedans for the extra boot space.

What do you think about cars like those? Should I wait until im in Norcal or close while im in Socal? Thanks!

I sell Toyota and Honda in both Norcal and Socal and it would be hard to give you a firm answer based on that list.

Historically Ive done some very aggressive Norcal CRV and Accord prices before but the market is constantly changing

I would narrow it down more, you can let me know when you are ready to move on it and I can quote you based on both regions

A lot more competition in SoCal than NorCal. And PHEV’s, hybrids tend to fetch a premium in the Bay Area. Too much demand, too much tech money.

This has come up several times before. Frankly, buying in SoCal and driving the 300+ miles is no big deal, if the savings are worth it (and they usually are).

Even shipping is only $300-500, and SoCal dealers have no issue selling to NorCal buyers.
