Why does the Mach E lease so poorly?

Looking to lease an EV soon and think Im down to the Mach E and the EV6. Also like the GV60 but very few around.

I’m finding that despite similar msrp for the Mach e (premium awd) and ev6 (wind awd) that the kia seems to be a significantly lower monthly on a sign and drive first payment only deal. I’m open to either 24 or 36 months at 10k. I guess kia is just more aggressive with the rebates?? I’m in Texas if it matters.

Ford has never been big on lease deals. Also their EV division loses a lot of money. Maybe they can’t afford to lower prices any more

Ford is expecting to lose 5.5 billion this year on its EV division.

FWIW…I love my 2022 Mach-E GT but dealing with getting service always requires me to leave my car for a week without a loaner. The front motor seems too loud for an EV so I’m turning it back in (33k miles), otherwise I’d buy it out - it’s an amazing car, I just am not comfortable with the longevity.
