Who has the best deals on Extended Warranty for an Audi Q7?

,

Besides my local dealers can I buy extended warranty cheaper online or through an out of state dealer?

Looking to add extended warranty on a 2018 Audi Q7 with about 35,000 miles on it.

I’ve heard good things and have had good luck with assurant backed plans.

That’s a nice wall of text you got there, I’m just curious why you think this?

As an Audi dealer, what would you recommend? I thought Audi pure was an exclusionary extended warranty that they have with a decent deductible.

I’m not here long, only a couple months, but I primarily sell Audi Pure products other than the Tire & Wheel ($50 deductible is lame).

The Audi Pure Platinum coverage is pretty damn close to the same factory warranty it comes with; and yes, they have very flexible pricing with 4 different deductibles. Odds are @MuMu was sold a Gold or Powertrain plan with the impression of it being a Platinum plan and that’s why they don’t recommend them.

I’ve heard good things about platinum, covering most non wear and tear with a $100 deductible

Good to know, thanks.

In the best interest of a crowd sourced forum like this, could you add a little context or reasoning behind this?

A little context would be more useful than copy paste since the op has a genuine question.

I had Audi Pure Protection Platinum. I don’t want to hijack the thread so you can dm me if you want the horror story.

I will assume they didn’t cover something major? You can post up a truncated version of what happened. I don’t mind.

Yes, denied engine replacement claim on an 80k mile car that was properly maintained with Audi care. Escalated to anybody we could reach at AFS, Fidelity, and AOA and nobody would do anything to step in and get the repair approved. Car was in the shop for more than two months. The only party that cared to help was the dealer. So they kept my business (multi brand/location dealer) but Audi lost it.

At the end of the day AFS sells the policy and Fidelity backs it. If you get a claims administrator who wants to deny a claim, you will have no recourse. None. Expect a stone wall. In my case the $18,000+ repair was above small claims limits.

In the process of telling the (longer version) story to many, many people, I have heard numerous stories of denied engine and transmission claims with Audi Pure Protection plans. Maybe some day there will be a class action suit that I can join, who knows.

My recommendation is to get a plan that your dealer offers and has some underwriting stake in. For example on my Mercedes, my dealer sells an assurant policy that they tell me they have the power to override a denied claim to stand behind the product and retain the customer. That was not the case with APP in my experience.

I would not recommend buying a policy online. Buy from the dealer where you will take the vehicle for service and repair.

My Audi dealer sent over the pricing yesterday. Ranges from $2,800-$9,000 for platinum coverage. It’s not the Audi brand coverage. Deductibles are from $0-$500.And 24 month to 72 month plans. If I choose a coverage before my current warranty expires I don’t have to pay the $350 inspection fee. Have a week or so to decide on this to avoid that extra fee.
