Which one of you is this? - Texas Loser Deal

What Texas-based hackr is this on the other end of this call?

I’m surprised Constantine didn’t hang up on this loser after 10 seconds

How do you know he’s TX based? Lol

To me, this isn’t how to get the best deal. Maybe it works for this guy, but being an aggressive dipshit has shown me very minimal success when going after cars.

I don’t need to explain to a dealer that I’m not a mark, they understand that based on our dialogue.

Correct. I find being polite, helpful, and coming correct with an outlined deal ready to go is better than: “Oh come on just take a loss, I see all the inventory in the world and this car is 231.2 days old, don’t you want to sell me a car?”

Where would the dealer make money? They don’t :joy:. Well it is an ev so he should be used to it by now…

Dealers just have a hard time giving people cheap lease deals. If he wanted to finance the car they might meet his discount. But they know someone else will pay 150/mo lease on it I’m sure.

This customer is why I don’t take phone calls. He wouldn’t be willing to type all that, and I can’t bluntly just tell him good luck and have a splendid day. He’s emotional and begging, not a good look. Easier to just say if you can get me to 4k off give me a call back and let’s make a deal

When dealing with a loser that’s been on the lot and they’re finally ready to see it go, I’m sure they’d rather it be with someone who isn’t difficult and prob someone they don’t mind looking at for a few hours. Not a humungous asshole.

I’d imagine they offer it to friends fam and staff 9/10 times in this situation. Unicorns are a combo of luck and persistence

Agreed. It’s def a combo of both those things. My time has its own value, and I can only spend so much of it chasing cars. I’ve also had a few stolen from me bc I got too greedy, def what happened to this guy.

Why even take the call - send it to business development

“When would you like to come in?”

A lot of times dealers don’t even realize that the lease can be that cheap. Once they see the numbers they prob just say no and offer it internally or take it for themself. Pretty sure that just happened to me recently on a cayman I got a quote on. Waited a day bc I want a 911 and it was gone, yet was on the lot for 2 months+

Some people are just obsessed with “winning a negotiation” as defined by the other party taking the biggest loss possible.

I didn’t listen to the conversation but I’ve met people like that IRL. They don’t know how to pull levers that have nothing/little to do with the dealer’s P&L such as OL, CCA, MSD etc but just want the biggest loss possible for the dealer.
