I realize that extended warranties usually are not worth it.
But I was shopping around for used volvo XC40s and and bmw X1s and decided to get quotes on extended warranties for grins.
A discounted BMW OEM warranty quoted $2800 for a 6 year total warranty (unlimited miles) for a 2020 certified X1
A quote for a discounted OEM volvo warranty was $2500 for a 10 year/100k warranty (2020 certified xc40). Pretty big difference.
More reliable makes will have cheaper warranties honda, toyota etc might be under 1k for a 10/100 in some cases. 10/100 was about 1900 for my mach e

I have a similar question that I am trying to buy an extended warranty for Toyota Rav4 and quote for 10 years is 2800 with 125k miles.
Can someone point to a dealer which is giving a reasonable offer?
I’ve found Volvo extended service contracts to include unlimited mileage for the fee you quoted. If you’re planning on keeping the car a long time and driving the wheels off, imho there is no better car and extended service contract than a Volvo with up to 10-years unlimited miles.

Go to forums for your brand. There are usually dealers there that sell OEM warranties at a discount from retail.
