Where do you invest your money?

Does anyone have suggestions where to roll-over / distribute a 401k account from a former employer? That account was managed by Schwab, and I could roll it over there, but wondering if there are other companies to consider where a new account incentive may exist.

Its has a few 100k in it, and wondering if any of the other investment companies are offering $1000 or $2500 new account bonus for opening a retirement account with them. I seem to recall reading in this thread that Chase offered $1000 etc.

I bought 100 shares of Polestar (PSNYW) last week. It’s up 19% so far!

Thats a great article, thanks for sharing

Like all DOC articles…

Do these offers generally apply to retirement accounts?

The few offers I’ve looked at closely (the ones I’ve received directly from places where I bank) are limited to regular brokerage accounts.

They vary but indeed most are not for retirement accounts. ETrade has tiered IRA offers on and off throughout the year.

Chase you invest and ally have bonuses for opening a traditional& Roth IRAs too. Some mixed reviews on DoC about the actual account operation/Customer Service so Ymmv.

So if one is rolling over a 401K (retirement money) where are the best deals / incentives being offered?

Oooffff

As the Fed is sucking liquidity out of all of the markets, including international, I am curious to see who is next. Those massive defaults I mentioned earlier are starting to pop up. Sri Lanka rioting, the Yen has reached a 20year low against the dollar, and China’s banks seem to be insolvent and people want their deposits back. Don’t forget there’s big difference between a depositor and creditor. Once the belief of your savings/funds being ā€œsafely storedā€ in your bank is lost, thats called a bank run.

Here is another forum I found which evaluates roll-overs for retirement accounts.

It can’t though. Blockchain has done none of what you say.

Blockchain is a very slow database without update or delete functionality. This is why it has no use cases other than:

  1. buying drugs, ransomware

  2. making scammers richer by touting deregulation, to help them scam

Name one industry—other than those actually supporting crypto (eg mining equipment) that uses the underlying technology to be more efficient or competitive.

I skimmed your real estate pdf. It’s all theoretical. Who is doing this?

Blockchain technology is extremely fast. That’s why the collapse of TerraLuna, Celsius, etc. happened so fast. In the traditional system, this process would take who knows how long due big actors trading behind closed doors or them running to their intermediaries for a redo. I can only speak for Bitcoin but every 10mins a block containing transactions are finalized and with irreversibility. Any changes to Bitcoin’s blockchain will create a ā€œhard forkā€, and it will no longer be Bitcoin. I am buying drugs with Bitcoin would be pretty risky because it’s made public, I imagine real criminals would just use cash (no trace at all). And as for scammers, if you don’t have your private keys then no one can come and take your Bitcoin unless you, yourself send them Bitcoin.

Anyone have a Charles Schwab retirement account that wants to send me a new customer referral link/?

I’ll send you one

You know the story of drugs with Bitcoin was all due to the silk road right? Kind of same as that old film that said if you smoke weed you will go insane. If the media is destroying the narrative of something you can damn well assure its because it’s viable and whoever is pulling the media strings has a stake in the old way of doing things. The way that they make money and you don’t, we like to call it capitalism but for them it’s called profiting.
Theories from what I have gathered over my years of learning and applying the scientific method, are what’s needed before actual testing begins. I personally am not a fan of people shitting on anything before they have done some semblance of research. But you would have shit away if I didn’t take 2 seconds to find you an article you could use as charmin.

Here’s another from a former customer of mine.
