That $125 is probably marginally taxed by both federal and state.

I got a nail stuck in my Lucid 20" Tire. Do you guys think it is repairable?
If not where can I get an alternative tire for an 18 months lease?

that’s close. Talk to your tire guy.

First guy said order a new tire for $500. The second guy at a different shop says it is fixable. So I left it with them. Let’s see what they can do.

yah the real part is when they look underneath and see if it is on the curve.

That’s close but far enough in that I’d feel comfortable patching it. Not a plug though, patch from the inside.

Fixable. Costco does it cheaply. And I think Sam’s for free.

Yeah. The second shop was able to patch it without any issues.
Thanks

Might have missed this question if someone already asked but does anyone know of any shops that will actually mount & balance a used tire that I bought? Or is everyone gonna continue hitting me with the “we dont install used tires bc of liability”

There are plenty, just not any ‘chain stores’ they don’t want the liability. Just google used tires, and those guys will mount your tires for some cash.

Discount Tire is my go to.

I don’t think I’ve ever had someone tell me they won’t install a used tire. Tell them it’s your tire you took off lol.

Do you have any local mechanics? Mine do mount & balance tires.

Short notice, but check your Amex cards.

Or a smaller reward with more time (Chase).

Figured this might be the right thread. When you guys trade in a car with a second set of wheels/ tires for summer / winter do you usually include them or they are of no additional value?

They almost always have value. Depends on make and model. Even something with so little monetary value as to be not worth your time could be given away free to an enthusiast who will reuse or repurpose them.

Why include them in a trade-in where a dealer won’t know what to do with them and might even throw them away.

Thanks! They are factory wheels so someone should want them. Just was curious.

Nope, I sold mine with winter tire (aftermarket wheels) and sold the oem wheels (summer tires) separately on FB marketplace (took awhile but someone eventually bought it at my fair asking price)
