Dealer swears I am getting best possible deal and that I am miscalculating:
2016 Altima SR 36/12k
Residual 52% MF .00003
My Numbers:
MSRP: 26444
Sales Price:22852.14
Acq Fee:595
Doc Fee:699.50
License Fees:489.5
Tax In FL 6%
Only first payment up front. Tax in Payment Should be $238.08
His Numbers are identical but he is calculating my payment at $249 tax in.
What could I be missing or is he being shady? Thanks in advance!
Could be a few things.
An MSRP of $26,444 seems odd. Usually, it ends in a $0 or $5. Perhaps there are dealer-installed or port-installed accessories in the MSRP that are not residualized?
Also, I see there’s $2,600 lease cash on Altima SR (Miami), which is likely included in the sales price. Incentives are taxed as they are treated like a capitalized cost reduction. A 6% tax on $2,600 is $156, or about $4/month. It doesn’t explain the $11/month difference, but that could be part of it.

Its probably extra profit that they are not telling you about, regardless even $249 tax in i think its a great deal with just 1st month at signing.
@LeaseMia My thoughts exactly although they tell me the lease is a straight loser. Thanks for the insight.
