What would you buy for $10k?

Had an ‘84 300SD. Great on long trips but it sucked as my daily commuter to work which was 2 miles away. Just enough time for the Diesel engine to warm up. It was yellow, we called it “Manila envelope yellow”.

Thats funny, Those are all over japan. They all look the same. Black with white curtains.

They are literally EVERYWHERE in Japan.

That Taurus is way too cheap, if everything checks out. I’d buy that without hesitation.

Not even half a day, maybe less if anyone knows.

Can’t find the listing but almost just bought a 2009 Toyota Corolla, 1 owner with 67,000 miles for $6,000- KBB and Auction Value show this car at $9k+

My cheap a$$ didn’t want to spend $6,000 since I was just gonna use it for 45 days, lady was nice and was strong at $6,000 rejecting my $5,000 cash offer.

Believe it sold now as I can’t find the FB listing…

I’m not doing it. Contemplated it at the beginning of Covid. I shared a very clean one for sale a couple weeks ago. Someone just picked it up this weekend for <$6,000.

They are old and dated and still catch my attention when I see a clean one.

Might be going to take a look at this today for my daughter. https://www.unionparkhonda.com/used/Honda/2008-Honda-Civic-Wilmington-DE-630409b30a0e0a946e5472fd17a3b7d4.htm

Seems like everything decent under $10,000 that we’ve wanted to look at so far is gone before we can get there.

There have been better deals posted in this thread, both in general and for Civics specifically.

That’s a great list, but her budget is under 10k. Just starting at the top, all the Mazda3 I can find here are around $17k for a 2014. I think she found a few 2010s in her range, but they were either sold in hours of listing or total junk.

We did end up getting the Civic. It’s pretty nice for it’s age, they dropped the price down a little, and didn’t play any stupid games with her. There might be better deals posted in this thread, but we were struggling to find them in a good distance of where we live and it was already tough arranging to go when we were both off work that we didn’t have time to drive 2 hours for something.

Congrats on the purchase :+1:t4:

Now we need to see if the tags come in before she goes back to school out of state.
