What should I do when Volvo XC60 lease overmiles

Hi,I am in Los Angeles county,CA

I leased a Volvo XC60 Hybrid 2024 ON 12/2024

NOW it’s 34000miles and my total mile is 36000…

:sob::sob::sob::sob:

Dealer said I can return it by paying 15000,

I just calculated and that is 818*17=13906 when Volvo buyback price (IF I lease Volvo again I can return earlier 6 months )

:innocent::innocent::innocent::innocent: IF I need to buy the car , left value is 47000.

monthly payment goes up to 1100/month

and it may require an extended warranty for the car,

they quote me about 6250/72000miles.

What should I do to save my ass

You lease a car with 12k allowance to drive 2000+ miles a month and you are paying $878? boy oh boy.

You could call VFS and see if you could purchase more miles but you need to buy a beater corolla and slam those miles on that car.

Call or send VCFS a message thru their portal to verify the over-mileage rate on your lease, and get a quote to terminate the lease β€” I wouldn’t trust the dealer without double-checking.

This is not a car I’d want to continue leasing after the warranty expires nor would it make sense to add extended at that dark matter infused monthly payment.

You are not a good candidate to lease. Next time, buy a CPO Volvo with unlimited mileage warranty or something with better reliability like a Lexus or Acura
