What large suv to get central Florida

in this market I would probably ride these horses and not get a new car :innocent:

Have you thought about ordering an SUV - not sure if you have the time left on your lease to even consider that route.

No kidding

Simply depressing if in the market right now when you’ve got some of the better LH brokers offering $400 a month Nissan Sentra SR’s (plus broker fee)…

Yes I do have time and have a truck to drive even if I have to turn in so I’m looking into that option as well.

Yeah no kidding except some of them are more expensive to keep on the road.

Just an update. I am holding tight for now. The Infiniti dealer all but said don’t buy till March and it’s just an Armada. MB has no cars so sitting tight for now. Will be looking at Sequoia and Armada when I peek my head out to try again. Thanks everyone for the input!!!

I have a GLE due to turn in off lease in 107 days. Pay off is more than 13,000$ less than current Carvana quote. I know MB doesn’t let you sell to third party so should I consider buying this car outright then selling? I am not going to lease another MB. I have been leasing cars for five cars now but apparently maybe not the thing to do now. I was wanting to go back to a larger suv but that’s a whole nother lot of worms.
But since not going back to MB I have to turn in or buy. I am going to shop other brands owned by same ownership group because they do take in each other’s leases. Which means I could swap into a Infiniti, BMW, Lexus, Toyota, Nissan and a few American brands.
My original idea was to lease one more time then get the redesigned Sequoia after its three years into the new platform.
So I guess my questions are: do I see if dealer will pay me the equity matching to outside quotes and hand back if so. Or better to buy and drive six more months to wait for market to settle (but risking lower value?) or try to turn in at one of the groups other dealerships and see if there’s any leases out there? (Lolololol)
I was debating trying to lease a 21 (I’ve found a few still out there) or 22 Sequoia because they may be willing to deal with the new one coming out. Maybe?
I usually consider myself a pretty savvy car shopper but I’ve never had to deal with a sellers market.
Would love opinions and guesses on future forecasts.
I’m in central Fl but usually shop in Tampa as they do more volume business and have better deals. (Normally)

You mean the dealerships are owned by the same company right? Other brand dealers under same ownership will agree to take in your car but will send it back to their partnered Mercedes dealership since its actually Mercedes financial (unless its some other bank) who owns your car not the dealership, so you might be better off just going to different Mercedes dealerships and get it appraised to see if they can match the carvana offer.

Yes sorry it’s one large auto group so I can turn it in at any of them but it would make it’s way back to the original MB dealer. So not sure that’s an advantage price wise only useful if I find another car from one of them to lease. Otherwise yes I can go to any MB dealer.

I’m merging your threads because it all comes back to what you’re getting next and to avoid the redundancy of what’s already been discussed.

Aside from the Nissan Frontier S (base model), can’t think of any decent leases from any of these brands.

Didn’t think so. I may try one of the brokers on here. I thought I had till June for the lease end but turns out it’s sooner so I need to get going.

It’s just ironic you’re looking at the most overheated part of the market (7-8 seat SUVs) when you don’t need to carry people.

And people who don’t haul sh!t are buying trucks.

lol that’s my dad, drives a tundra but has never used it for towing or off-roading, he only got it because its a big as$ Toyota v8. Rarely seen him put anything in the bed

Who TF drives a gas guzzler if they don’t use it?
My seats are almost always folded flat because I use the cargo space for trips to the feed store etc and often haul 100’s of lbs in the back. So yeah I use it. And need covered because it’s always freakin raining in Fl. On the occasion when I can get away, I usually drive and it’s nice to have room for a few friends and a lot of luggage.
And my 350 does haul a 40 ft trailer.
I use my damn vehicles but also enjoy something that’s fun to drive.

Fuel consumption isn’t something we consider when we choose a vehicle.

It wasn’t even a factor in my early 20s when I could barely afford vodka and weed, let alone food and gas.
