Mostly true. The commonly spoken language is like 90% similar (but if you use fancy words, those would be different).
Punjabi, Sindhi, Gujrati etc are wayy to different. I couldn’t even tell you which one is which. There are just too many languages in South Asia. And those are actual languages, not cousin dialects etc
