You just need to know where to search. I started with my online email archive which goes back to 1998, I found my own filing there in under 2 minutes
I do not need to know where to search, as I have you to call upon.
So far I got the Mophie and never had a problem the only thing is its bigger but the Anker are more smaller and portable to slide into your pocket
Anyone know why when you facetime someone the dial is so loud and canāt be slowed down with the button until the person answer?
Finally found some time to get to a Costco with Verizon last night.
From what they said⦠last night was the last day for the āTrade in Any iPhoneā deal but not sure if he was just saying that to get us to sign up.
Something some people are not aware of (but may be because of the commercials on TV) but the trade-in is very lenient. Itās not tiered and I think it just needs to be able to be turned on (he wasnāt sure if they would take a cracked screen) so they can get the IMEI number and to ensure that FindMy and iCloud are turned off. But they can take ANY iPhone as far as I know⦠I found an old iPhone 5S and he put it into the system and the credit came back as $1000.
These are the highlights of the deal:
- Have to sign up for Ultimate Unlimited plan, their highest one. (Yeah I know but itās close to what Iām paying now on TMo and I donāt feel like wandering down the MVNO route)
2,. Credits are paid over 36 months. - The $250 Costco Cash card will come as an email within 60 days.
- There is a $200 switcher credit from VZW in the form of a Visa card that will be mailed to me.
- They didnāt have any phones in stock, had to order them and the quickest ones were 2 weeks out. This Iām not sure if this is normal for any phones because Iāve never purchased a phone at a VZW booth in Costco before.
- You have to ship back the trade-in phone within 30 days (VZW will send you a box and instructions).
- We couldnāt decide between the 15 Plus or the 15 Pro because the Pro was a better phone but we liked the bigger size of the Plus (although the 6.1 screen is still bigger than our old phones) and ended landing on the 15 Pro Max because we almost went with the 15 Plus 256GB to use up the entire $1k credit (itās $1029) but just went for the $1199 15 Pro Max and will pay an extra $5.55/mo per phone over the 3 years. Also had to pay $186 in taxes⦠DAS
For 2 lines, 2 phones we got $500 in Costco cash and $400 in Switcher credit so that $900 reduced my āeffective monthlyā by $25/mo.
Donāt mind the 36 lock (been with TMo for almost 10 years) and VZW has better coverage in my area.
Do I need to add this to SIGNED?
TEDR (TooEric51DidnātRead): Did the Costco/VZW iPhone 15 deal.
You shouldāve went with SPECTRUM MOBILE $30/mo unlimited and 2nd line is FREE for 12 months.
They use VERIZON network FYI, and over 36 months you will save a lot more vs VZW even if you paid full price for iphones⦠TCO as they say here on LH
Yeah butā¦
I was very close to going to Visible but if you compare:
Visible
$35/mo service + $35.80 iPhone 15 Pro max for 36 months is ~$70/mo.
VZW
$80/mo Ultimate + $9/mo (tax+over credit for 15 Pro Max) - $12.50/mo (Costco Cash/Switcher) is $76.50.
Itās close enough and I donāt have to worry about network allocation.
STOP Eric51āing
SPECTRUM $30/mo + $33.33/mo for full price of phone x 36months = $2279.88 vs $2754 thatās about $474 savings
Is that $76.50/mo for two lines??? If so, then it is not bad but if per line⦠you coulda had $950 extra in your pocket
Cāmon⦠Spectrum is only 33% VZW⦠itās NOT THE SAME!
Oh and thatās one line⦠so yes⦠expensive. But equity is not cash!
I had VZW before I switched to SPECTRUM (initially I was on the $14 per GB plan since I never went over 2GB/mo anyway, now I switched to unlimited $30/mo) and thereās no difference in coverage or quality that Iāve noticed since I switched a few years ago⦠think of it like TOYOTA-LEXUS, HONDA-ACURA, NISSAN-INFINITY
EDIT: haha shouldāve said more like Chevy-GMC, FORD-LINCOLN haha
Or Audi/Porsche/VW?
The Legend of Eric51 Lives On!!
there should be some sort of gulag you get thrown into for ever having recommended a spectrum product to another person.
Iām actually shocked that the iPhone 5s still charged and workedā¦even has Flappy Bird on it (which could have made it worth over $10k .
Itās amazing how small iPhones used to be. Thatās why I had Android for such a long time because they were first to make the big phones (I started with the Galaxy Note 1 and then once the 7 Plus came out switched to the Apple prison).
And now that Apple went back to the flat sides, if not for the button⦠the 5s looks like a mini 15.
Walmart has sale for iPhone 14 and 15 series. $300 gc for iPhone 15 series, $350-$500 gc for iPhone 14 series, att and Verizon only.
Pretty sure you canāt get the cheapest plan?
Updates on the two Apple-related class action cases that are expected to settle in the next month:
- smartphoneperformancesettlement.com - iPhone 6/7 Series phones that were nerfed by software to allegedly protect the aging batteries ā still expected to distribute in January
- replacementdevicelawsuit.com - AppleCare replacement with refurbished devices, distributions should start this week
It took Apple that long to find money
How are you selling your phone after 11 months at the same price?
Simple math, if you can get in at $300-400 off then you can almost break even, or come out slightly ahead.
