What cars have you had in your lifetime?

This is a good one!

2003 VW GTI 1.8T modded to the gills - that was a fun car, hit head on by a drunk driver the night before I was scheduled to trade it in for a new car

2008 VW R32 pretty much everything you can add to the car aside from forced induction, super fun on the canyon roads and track days

2008 Hummer H3 work car black/black/black but actually was fun to drive, much better lease program than the Jeep Wrangler which was first choice

2010 Mini Clubman S shared car but was also fun and had a good deal on the lease

2008 BMW 135i I wanted something quick from the factory and the black on coral red leather caught me

2013 VW GTI Just wanted to save money on car payment and also for once leave a car alone with no mods etc

2015 Infiniti Q50 Negotiated a great deal for what I got, before I knew of LH. Good car but felt sort of grandpa-ish

2018 BMW 340i My current baby, haven’t done anything to it aside from OEM black grille and the dog protector in the back seat. I love it!

What’s next in 20 months? Who knows?!

Oh boy

2005- Nissan Maxima (2004)- First got license, still on dealer plates got pulled over going 118mph trooper impounded car. Totaled the car a month after last payment on loan.

2010- Nissan Maxima (new)- lasted 3 years got hit by a snow plow and totalled.

2013- infiniti m35 (2006) got married bought on cash with wedding gift money. Stepped out of apartment building in morning car was lifted on 4 milk crates where my wheels used to be a week after getting new wheels car was stolen.

2014- Toyota Avalon (new) impulse decision dad was getting a car the dealer found out I didn’t have a car so gave me a good discount and I signed and drove home.

2015- Chevy suburban ltz (new) wife said she was pregnant needed big car so traded Avalon in for this. Wife was not pregnant so ate the negative from Avalon for no reason. I think I had a kid just to make the car useful later lol

2015- BMW 750Li (2014)- loved this car parked it far away to go in store come out and see a 18 wheeler backed into it (thank God it was totaled)

2017- Toyota Corolla (new)- almost signed after keeping on dealer plate for a week but just couldn’t give up the 7 series fun for the savings. Dealer was not happy when I returned the car keys with 400 miles in a week on the odometer.

2017- BMW 750xi(2015) had it for 2 years until business tanked and was left to either use up savings for everyday life or do uber worse decision ever to do uber on a 750xi rides went by fast though lol traded in after putting about 110k miles and with a $18k negative equity for a Highlander.

2019- Toyota highlander(new) dealer friend called in a favor got TFS to advance and cover most of the negative so I’ll pay it off in a 3 year lease.

Fun stuff

You sure you’re not familiar with @joeblogs infamous snowy off-ramps? That’s a lot of totaled and missing cars…

W…wow.

They let you take a car for a week without signing considering your luck? That’s remarkable.

Your insurance must be insane with all those stolen and totaled cars.

2002 Ford Mustang GT - piece of crap
2004 Jeep Liberty Renegade
2007 Jeep Liberty
2011 VW GTI
2014 FJ Cruiser (should have never gotten rid of it)
2016 Land Rover LR4

Hell, we paid off our wedding with our wedding gift money, and had enough extra for a fancy lunch at Wendy’s.

…to hell with a $1,600 payment on a 750 but just that for insurance?! You pick up a couple DWI somewhere in the middle there or something?

I’d Uber to work daily before I ever paid that for car insurance and maybe still come out ahead.

No DWI just a few speeding tickets and 1 reckless driving misdemeanor offense and once for evading a state trooper(well tried to) he took my license with him that time lol I think I was at 14 points on my license now I’m down to 9 and in NYC cop got me for cell phone (5points) everyone else using it in bumper to bumper traffic excuse didn’t work :joy::joy:

I’m astonished anyone except SafeAuto would write a policy for you…

Nope it was spread out over a few years and I kept postponing tickets but then they eventually started getting defaulted guilty verdict and by the time I was on my 2nd 7 series the points racked up all together. Good thing the speeding ticket in Arkansas didn’t count as points but I’m sure the insurance company is sticking me with it somewhere

List is a bit crazy, but quite a few of these have been total losses through rear end’s on the freeway (not my fault) and the VW golf was basically a free car since the diesel scandal
