What can I negotiate on a 2021 MB AMG GT 63 S car when ordering

I am planning on ordering the 2021 Mercedes Benz AMG GT 63 S to my specifications. The 2021’s are not out yet, so ordering is my only option. Is there anything I can negotiate when I order the car tomorrow? Money Factor? Does anyone know the MF on the 2020’s? They don’t have a MSRP price yet for the 2021’s.

I would like to get the best deal possible, but don’t know how to negotiate this deal. I live in Dallas, Texas. They say the car should arrive by the end of the year.

Question:

How can you negotiate the best deal without knowing any of the variables?

Sounds like regardless of what happens tomorrow, you’ll walk out of there with no idea what this is going to cost.

That would terrify me.

That is what I am worried about. I have always negotiated a car that was in stock. Not knowing what the price will start at I find scary. Salesman estimates the price might go up about 1%. My lease is up end of November, will rent a car until car arrives.
Do I get lease price for the 2020 to get an idea on price. Just wondering if there was anything I could add to the contract when I order.

Have you run the calculator on the 2020s to get an idea of payment? I’m sure you’re aware it’s going to be a big number no matter what.

Maybe the discount on the car. Likely they are not going to give you much. Incentives, MF, and RV are all going to depend on when MBFS releases their numbers.

I just ran the calculator on a price of 185,000. for 36 months at 4.8% (?), monthly payment 2671.00. For 24 months (which I prefer) monthly payment 3710.00.

We just moved to Texas and it says Tax is levied upfront on the selling price, that would mean an extra 16,650. DAS. Do we get some of that back when lease is over?

Are these numbers based on Edmunds figures? If so, have you looked into how much financing is?

Why lease on for $2700-$3000 when you can get one with low miles for less than that?!

You mean buying the car? We just totaled an AMG 63s Coupe that we were leasing (mainly due to bad repair job) we didn’t have to pay anything on remaining lease payments or out of pocket expenses. Since my son drives the car I prefer to lease.

We looked at one with low miles at the dealership, they said they wouldn’t lease the car. Only will lease cars if not titled.

If you want to lease, then I would probably wait for 2021 numbers to come out. That way you know what the leasing factors are prior to ordering the car. Also, why the GT63S in particular and not something like a S63/S65? None of these vehicles are “good leases,” but there are probably better discounts on the S-class than the GT63S.

Most likely they are not giving AMG GT63s as a loaner car, which would allow the dealer to usually sell it untitled.

Gotcha, I would prefer to finance a GT63 at that rate. GL with finding what you need, GT63’s are so cool,

The car is for my son (early 20’s), who seems to be hooked on this car. He is 6’5" and I think the car is a little small for him, but most cars are. He really liked the AMG 63s coupe (SUV), but doesn’t want the same car.

I don’t know what other cars a young tall guy would like. He likes the Urus, but that is really expensive.

BMW M8 Competition? BMWs usually lease a bit better than the AMGs.

We drove through the BMW parking lot (small dealership in Dallas) and looking at cars couldn’t tell if they were 40,000 or 140,000. they all looked the same. I looked at a similar BMW and the salesman recommended the M8 Gran Coupe Competition. My son had a M6 coupe for a couple years. It is hard to get my son to look at different cars. He has a couple of friends who have the AMG GT and they say they love it.

Hahaha, I am trying to trade this one in.

With all do respect if you are buying cars like this for your kid you should be in a position where money doesn’t matter. The rational thing would be to wait or get an M8 for 1300 a month but there is nothing rational about this situation.

How set is he on the 63? A Panamera Turbo/ Turbo S might be the best value… customize everything about the car then sell it in 3 years. They hold their value a lot better than AMGs.

Nope, you get to pay the $16k and that’s that.
