I’ve had great success leasing multiple luxury cars with the help of the community here in the past two years. While I know this forum isn’t necessarily geared toward exotics, I figured I’d put this out here nonetheless to get input from some experienced members.
Currently trying to help my brother lease an exotic car.
Budget $2k-2.5k/Mo
Background:
He was offered a McLaren 650 back in Jan 2018 from a local dealer for $2470/Mo $3k down. 10k/year 36 Mo lease. MSRP ~$350k. He snoozed on it and now having a pretty hard time finding deals anywhere near that.
Any suggestions of exotic cars that have great value in terms of leases?
Hey there. Those figures seem off. A car like that will usually lease with 5k miles a year, a 10k mile lease on a $200k+ exotic would be really high! Usually, you’re also using a 3rd party finance company for exotic leases, unless you’re leasing a brand with real financial backing. Audi, Porsche, and Ferrari lease through their own banks. I can probably help him get into a Porsche at those figures, maybe a 911 Carrera GTS or 911 Turbo, but I won’t know till I try… Btw, if you were really able to get a 650 for $2500 a month with 10k miles year, you passed up a killer deal!
Yes i completely agree…big time snooze. I still have the lease quotes and have tried to use them as negotiation tactics at numerous dealerships with no real luck.
I would love to see the paperwork on that, never seen an exotic car lease with 10k miles most are either 2.5k or 5k miles maybe 7.5k at max if you live in a warm weather year round location. 570’s lease around that 2.5k mark but you would have spend at least 3500 a month on a 650 and that’s with 5k miles.
As far as ferrari goes with that price range unless he wants a California just forget about it, the 488 is in the $3.5k a month range, the 812 will be even more, plus ferrari isn’t keeping up with lambo or McLaren in terms of styling and features (I would stay away, ferarri has gotten complacent)
so for the lambo you can obviously rule out the aventador or any iterations of it which leaves you with the huracan, the 580-4 would probably be your best bet in terms of pricing and availability but there’s minimal difference between the 580-4 and a 610-4 (a basic tune should fix the gap)
Good luck on the search, hmu if you have any questions.
Go check my numbers kid, I have driven more of these cars over the last few years than you probably have seen in your entire life. They are spot on, you clearly have no knowledge of exotic cars if you think they dont depreciate, they just have their own curve which differs far from what the normal cars do. You want to question my knowledge but have given 0 help to the OP, sounds like you are one of the stereotypes on this website that scoff at lease payments that are mortgage level high. The 812 is attainable with the right connections though I only offered that up as a benchmark for the OP, not sure what or how many exotics he has leased before but be loyal enough to a ferrari or lambo dealer with multiple leases and purchases and they do value you as a customer. Let us all know when you pop your cherry and sit in your first car that goes faster than 120 mph
lmao what a guy, nobody is defensive I’m just being honest here, how many of these cars have you ran lease quotes for, looked at msrp, or even seen in person at a dealership? The answer is probably 0. Next you offered no actual advice to the op but simply stated in a cocky manner “do these cars even depreciate?” to which somebody responded yes mclaren’s do, you clearly have no knowledge on any of these cars monthly payments, down payments, mileage allotments,(or you would have seen that my numbers are spot on unless you negotiate a steal),not to mention giving actual reviews of the car’s themselves because most of the fun in these cars is actually driving them. Nobody is bragging here or making it a d!ck measuring contest, the rule of thumb is if you don’t know what you’re talking about shut the f*ck up and listen to people who do, instead of making cocky statements. You’re a mod here and you don’t know your place on certain threads, I don’t even know why you posted in the first place lmao you should stick to the honda accord threads my guy.
I guess it depends on your definition of exotic. The I8 BMW could most certainly be leased with 10k mi. I would consider it exotic, comes from a far away land and has doors that pop up
I really can’t speak to the process, but I have fair number of friends who have gone through Premier Financial Services to generate leases on exotics. I go for cheaper exotics, that I can buy outright (Exige, 997 GTS) and that I can afford the repair bills on. I think everyone deals with Juan, in California. I’ve never talked numbers, but I would definitely be curious. I’m especially curious on how the residuals are calculated… the MP12-C had horrible depreciation, but the 650 and 720 appreciated for a short term.
Looks like he missed a great deal. I think McLaren meets the definition of exotic and seems to be available for 1.5% rule. So gentlemen, start your engines…
Ps Please note the McLaren special paint is listed as a 15k option and wheels as 5k options. So be careful with scratches lol. No parking in walmart lots…
