🔥 WFH discussion

Yeah… Shorts is YT’s version of TikTok.

There’s also all the gaming social media platforms like Discord and Twitch that are competing with each other.

I should confess that I occasionally get lost in YouTube watching cover artists… so I know I have to stay away from TikTok.

I wonder if WFH feeds these type of businesses.

Knew this was coming:

It’s also a roundabout way for him to cut more people. Someone I knew was part of the first Elon-offs… they actually have until the end of the year and are excited about looking for something new.

It’s going to be difficult for Elon to innovate if he doesn’t give his staff flexibility.

Twitter? Innovate? How about monetize…

This came up in a Teams chat when were were talking about the company giving us a gym membership reimbursement.

“I wish they gave us a home internet reimbursement.”

My reply?

“Well, you can come into the office for free internet.:”

That shut down the conversation pretty quickly.

Now, granted, the company probably should give us some reimbursement for the costs of working remote, but at the same time, I think the benefit of WFH outweighs those costs… and let’s be real, we were going to be paying for high speed internet anyways.

Looks like there is a big push to get back into office.

And there is pushback from the employees.

I think it’s just going to depend on the size and type of company.

Was predicted to play out this way.

Damn, you hiring? What qualification does one need?
