Was This Finally “Peak Insanity” in Used Vehicle Prices? And all other crystal ball questions

My first thought as well…

True that…

likely because we’ve been steadily circling the drain but haven’t gone down enough yet to make actual news. if its not one thing keeping prices high, its another, and that likely isn’t going to change here for a little bit.

Dealers won’t be able to charge 699 for tint.

i can already see the audi “glass shortage package”, they use plastic bags to replace side windows.

Combine that with the chip shortage package for a 5k discount and you’ll be leasing an Audi-branded go cart through a broker claiming 10% off MSRP at 7% APR.

sooo i take it you won’t be buying a q3 or q5 from me?? instead, you’ll be looking at it at MSRP+ direct from dealer? ps that’s how those cars sell retail.

Considering the dealer doing the 10k service on my S5 not only destroyed the PPF but also managed to back it into a pole despite the 360 cameras, I am very happy to put heavy miles on their “fully contented” fart car until that situation is resolved or interest rates come back down. At present, I would be infinitely more interested in a Macan from you than a Q5 given the comparable interest rates.

we have lots of macans arriving.

Do a lot of the markups get shrugged off because people have equity in their returning lease and don’t realize it? Or do people have more lease equity than the markup and just figure they are playing with house money anyway?

European auto manufacturers may be asked to ration consumption of natural gas and/or limit production.

That’s what happens when you poke the unicycle riding bear.

Was in San Diego last week for vacation w family and as always rented large SUV which are usually Tahoe and/or Expedition.

This time almost all were new Armadas which totally didn’t work for us be it has build it console and 2 row was essentially 2 pass. If I were to use 3rd row - I would have nothing left of the trunk.

Luckily there was one Tahoe with 45k miles and Virgina plates. In Cali… What does this world come to???
